the best option is using the proper torx half inch socket, works much better, the better the quality the less the chance of rounding, also using a t-bar wih the socket bit then twatting it with a hammer to "crack" the nut, they do get pretty hot when nailing the brakes hence the troubles but a...
double FLOL with a PMSL and a ROFL on top
that is the eqivilant of a engine rebuild with a 500 mile run in phase advised, then redlining it in first after draining the oil and slashing the tires!
as some will have noticed i have just fitted, and then unfitted a ball joint which was too long from euro-parts.
now im over my anger i need a replacement one, seen the recomondations for scenic and megi balljoints etc, but which one fits the best?
incorrect, i have a printed invoice from them, clearly stating
"renault clio sport 172 03" as i gave them the reg of the car for the search, if i didnt have that on paper, i wouldnt have a leg to stand on, and in regards to not seing it stick out the top, ther is only about 1.5mm between the...
A.) it was raining and was in a bit of a rush
b.) when the gaitors new it sits alot higher, thus not being as obivous
c.) euro parts have one job, to find the right part, cant do it so its THERE fault.
did some maintanance on my car in the form of new drilled disks and pads from ktec, (good product btw:D) and then just a ball joint to fit... from euro-parts (masters of f**k-ups) so swaped them over, get the car back on its wheels and go to drive and here a bit of resitance, thought it was just...
could use a easy out, but tbh th bolt head snapped off with a 17mm socket on, so reducing the width down to say a 12mm will proboblly not work, could weld a pipe on to it and then crank it, but dont have working welder, and for the hassel, i will probobly jus rip out the upright and replace the...
yep, in the same boat as i brought some super turismos from b33fy123 off here and one of them turned out to be buckled when he said they were all fine. but now i face the problem of gettin one, if its any help, ring demon tweeks, i spoke to the guy at fcs and he said he can order just one from...
i jus call bolts studs, pins whatever, i know correctlly studs are coming out of the back of the hub and the wheel is held on with nuts but yes, the bolts snapped off and only about 2mm is showing out of the hub, so time to rip out the upright and get a scrap yard job on the go
OOO DEAR!!
so i get to the car today armed with a huge set of stilsons ready to operate on its ass and find that what i remembered of the size of th stud sticking out, wasnt really 100% so now im faced with drilling it which isnt going to work, so im just going to get a whole new upright and hub...
i have all the studs out now but 2 of them are snapped so i have no leverage on them without creating a flat side with a file then wacking th spanner or it, (or drill :dead:)
but never heard of using duck oil before, had some s**t used on cows nipples during the milking stage (hahah dont ask)...
ha welder!, not sure till i take the disk off how much is sticking out! but who ever the muppet was who put the wheels on needs brain sergery! i could not belive the tention on them! im praying for atleast 8-10 mm sticking out after th disk comes off, coz that will be anough to get th big ajusti...

i have just brought the KTEC uprated fast road disks and pads kit for £125 inc delivery! got um today and they look good, KTEC have good rep so i asume they will perform.
look under your car! you can see if the boots split, and in most cases it will spray the CV greese everywhere in the wheel arch etc, which smells like liquid death!!! the inner one will be the one thats not right behind the wheel hub
goody goody gum drops, the garage that did the mot tryed to say it would be £300 for disks n pads to be replaced and ball joint replaced, nearly pissed my self at the stupidity of there labour times, my 4 year old nephew can do the work quicker than there quoted labour time! 6 hours! o dear... lol
so im having do replace ball joint and do me brakes at the same time, before i give time to doing it just a couple of questions,
1.) is the ball joint rivetted in like on the ren 19's or is it a couple on bolts?
2.) is the brake caliper piston a push back one or one of them nobby twist back...
