Does it not depend on what wheels etc aswell? Theres ways round it... like rolling the arches or removing them in extreme cases I think. Or fitting spacers to the wheels? I'm not expert mind.

60mm should fit fine as Ali says, if not just get your arches rolled I would imagine. Not that I've tried myself to be honest, but considering it. Eibach's are to be far superior as far as I know.

Saw a red 197 today on the Fort Bill to Mallaig road heading for Fort Bill, overtook a group of cyclists (me) around mid afternoon I think. Anyone here? Cant say much about your driving around cyclists, could have picked a better spot to overtake ;)

At the end of the day it all depends who is the best driver I think. Cars are too evenly matched and slow to make a difference. You'd have him in the twisties though ;)
