Right, don't piss about with a cheap Karcher, it will die within 6 months. Get a Nilfisk, ideally a C120, or a C100, depending on budget.
Foam Lance wise, they are pretty much all the same, so get one from CYC or I4D and support the Supporters on here! Snow Foam wise, the best one IMO is Bilt...
Today's was my toughest yet! < 1 year old German white paint, which was VERY swirly for its age. The paint was ROCK hard...
A few before pics:
I began by cleaning the wheels, tyres and arches with my favourite combination of AS Smart Wheels, G101 and various brushes...
Where in Wolverhampton are you? I can take a look at it for you and let you know if it can be polished out or not. If it can, I'll do it for a tenner :)
Ok, new laptop is imminent but I'm stuck between this HP and a Macbook Pro 13"

Love present here!! Great work mate! :)
PS - Can you fit my armrest when I get it please? I'll give your car some love paintwork wise at the same time...?
Good swap IMO - I just changed my R27 for the R26 and it's definitely the better car, but is a touch less 'fun' overall.
The Meg is a better place to be 90% of the time though
It's worth doing properly once a year, and as you say, after using that wax it will just wipe clean now!
You coulda cleaned it inside a bit more though :p
You may hose off the loose dirt, but the car won't be clean. You'd be wanting to dry it too or you'll get water spotting, and your drying towel would be filthy.
To do a quick clean properly, look at the rinseless products like Optimum No Rinse. I can clean my Megane properly in about 15...
Blackfire Metal Sealant is THE best sealant for an exhaust. Also, look at the Brilliant range of metal polishes - again, unbeatable.
The Britemax, Megs and AG range is decent enough, but the products I mention above are a cut above in terms of ease of use and finish.
All are available from...
Agree with Will, just get a decent:
- Shampoo
- Clay Kit
- Paint Cleanser
- Wax or Sealant
Are you limited to Halfords, or would you like to order online?
I DA machine polisher will help you, but I'd get the basics in place with hand application first, then look at a DA in a few months' time.
Halfords sell the Meguiars Foam Applicators and some of their own brand ones.
I'd say you need a MF applicator for Step/Stage 1, then foam for 2 and 3. Although, 3 is just plain crap, so look at changing this for another wax, such as Megs NXT 2.0 if you're limited to what Halfords sell.
Step...
Z8's awesome mate! I got some more on Saturday - did a quick spruce up on a neighbours E55 Merc thing, and it looked amazing!
Bling in a bottle that stuff :)
Cheers Neil - yes and no, the Clio was more outright 'fun' as I used to nail it everywhere, whereas if I do the same in this, I'll lose my licence pretty quickly!
It's a more capable car without a doubt, but in a way, TOO capable at times. I do love it though, and it's better suited to my...
