Not much you can do really, best hope is to try and fill them, but even this is very limited. Try SRP or Poorboys Black Hole.
Or, pay me £99 to do it for you :)
Russ.
Okay, so after a chaotic morning at work, I spent the past couple of hours de-stressing, giving my car a quick detail, so that I could use my new pot of Zymol Glasur, which I received from Monza yesterday (thanks again Eamonn!)
I was also keen to try out two other new products - Clearkote...
Anything more than two layers to ensure even coverage, is a waste of wax. Top up when it's wearing off, but doing so before then is a waste.
As for the Vics, yes, very good, best wax under £50 probably, or their new Chaos Wax (very similar look, more durable). It is easy to use, but it can...
The wax is okay, but no better than a lot of £30 waxes (Vics Concours or Chaos for example).
It works best with their Wet Fire Over Ice system, as their sealant is so slick, they claim very few waxes will 'bond' properly to it. Works best on darker cars too.
Don't whack a pad filled with wax into your washing machine, especially with items like drying towels - you'll find they won't work quite so well.
Which Wax have you been using? Cleaner Wax I assume? The minty green stuff?
In which case, wash it with Fairy Liquid and Water by hand, and the...
Lol, so very true!
Some of the advice on there at the moment is far from helpful!
Start with the guide, few points I'd add:
- Rotary can be a bugger to control at first, but using thin, cheap backing plates makes this far worse. Invest in decent backing plates (Gloss It or 3M)
- The larger...
I don't bother on my own car - if you have a decent LSP product on your car, any decent pressure washer will do the same thing, unless your car is exceptionally covered in crap.
For Customers' cars I tend to use it, but normally to get good coverage of shampoo so that I can work it in on...
Poorboys is overrated - doesn't last as long as EGP, so use that instead if you have it, or something like Collinite 850 (have a look on eBay)
If you seal your wheels after cleaning them thoroughly, you should really stop using such nasty s**t as AG Clean Wheels, if you must use something from...
Decent enough, but still a plastic pump I believe.
What's your budget Steve? Get a Nilfisk (E130 or E140). You can always buy a new adaptor for your HD Foam Lance if needs be.
Circles or straight lines - makes not a s**t bit of difference. Swirls aren't circular scratches in paint lol, they are simply scratches in the paint which you see reflecting out from the source of whatever light is on the car, hence why they move when you or the light does!
Good effort on...
Hi Andy,
I'm SO sorry, I've been so busy of late, I totally forgot about this.
I'll send you a PM now to see if you've sorted it already. If not, I'll do it cheaper for you :)
Thanks,
Russ.
I'd say a bit more cut than 85RD, more on a par with 85RE/M#205, Jim?
It's great for a single hit product. Works very well on a 3M Yellow Waffle Polishing Pad. Great combo for you to learn with Luke - the waffle pad is easy to control, and the LP is very wet, so keeps the pad lubricated, and...
Optimum Opti Seal, you don't even have to buff it off - wipe it on and leave it. Works on plastics, glass and wheels too.
Nothing else will touch it for ease/durability.
Agree with Jim, but 1&2 are decent enough (DC1 is a good cleaner and DC2 is rebottled Megs #7, which is a great glaze). The DC3 wax is frankly s**t though, so you could just change this for something else...
