I'm sure that with some shopping around you could get a pair of 1080s and run them in SLI for that monies.
Think it'll be Founder's Edition for me if the aftermarket ones are that rich.
Really I should wait to the Ti comes out before deciding. The founders Ti is £700. So realistically the other manufacturers will be £700-£800? Founders are usually more expensive eh?
Not fancy a slightly bigger case that'll do ATX motherboards? Gives you so much more flexibility.
I'm still swithering on weather to go 1080 or wait on the Ti. The Strix 1080 is £579 with £50 cashback so really is £529. You also get either For Honor or Ghost Recon for free so thats £40 if you...
I'm keeping an eye out on eBay for 1080 bargains but people seem to be going off their heads with bidding for them. One of the STRIX 1080s just went for more than you can buy it new for from OCUK. Ridiculous.
So I bought Battlefield 1 today since it was half price on Origin. I was reluctant to buy it as I have it for the Xbox but the 50% off made it easier to swallow.
My current GPU (1070) is giving my between 75 and 85 FPS @ 2560x1440. Not bad really but just curious to hear what other folk are...
Just gaming.

Bought it on 3rd January.
Anyone after a 3 month old Corsair Air 540 in white? Its been returned to stock with brand new case fans fitted.
Looking for £80.
How it looked when built.
I'm so tempted to just buy a 1080 as, like you @SharkyUK I don't need one but the wee guy in my head says I do lol.
Apparently the Ti will be able to achieve that 2560 x 1440 @ >144Hz with ease. I've heard some 1080s don't quite get there?
Not quite as fancy as @Gareth but chuffed none the less with how it looks in its new case.
Moved the desk and PC up to the spare bedroom at the weekend so here's the whole thing in its new home:
Nice view getting to watch the sun set:
The rest of the room you can't see is the wee man's...
How much has RAM gone up in price? I got 16Gb for £113 in December. The same RAM is now £147.
Was gonna buy some to fill my spare 2 slots but thats put a dampener on that.
So the case came today and I have swapped everything over into it. Plenty of room for my bigger motherboard.
Managed to get the GPU installed in the 1st PCIE slot which I couldn't get in before. There is a plastic shroud over the sound components which was fouling the end of the GPU but managed...
So I've taken a calculated risk and ordered the new Air 740 case. Will be here on Monday so will set it up as soon as I get it.
Thinking of moving my CPU radiator to the front on the intake side to see if temps are lower than exhaust on the top.
So I fancy a new case. The Corsair 740 Air is the one I want. Due to lack of availability when buying this 540 Air I currently have I ended up with this. However, it turns out that me buying a EATX motherboard has kinda screwed me. The 740 though being bigger than the 540 can only take ATX...
So the Rizen 7 CPUs look to be a bit of a bargain based on AMDs own benchmarks against Intels enthusiast CPUs. Definitely need to wait to see what the independent reviews say but surely Intel will have to bring their prices down?
