I drive a nice comfy diesel daily. When I get in my Clio on Cooksports with solid top mounts and stiff sidewall semi slicks it's not harsh, really it's a nice ride and handles very well. You'll be hard pushed to find better springs.
The cams were £320. The engine was apart anyway for other bits so £1400 got me cams, ported head, Supertech valves, new dephaser and a remap.
Can I feel it, yes the 173lbft is more torque than a RS2 manifold would have got me and for around the same or less money. Granted the 184bhp I've got...
I've got a lightened flywheel. You can feel the difference although you'll have to have the box off and a new clutch. So mot worth doing unless you need thedo the clutch.
You can do cams and a remap for about £650-700 but that doesn't include fitting and new belts etc.
Its worth doing when you need the belts doing though.
You're welcome to make the drive up here to see for yourself if you like :)
I didn't say it was better did I, obviously the 8000 series is far better and I've seen that for myself. I'd love an 8000 series. The way the LEDs in the TVs work will be slightly different (edge or back lit, dimming...
Don't get that problem with mine (6670), viewing angle is huge and the blacks stay black. Maybe it's something about the 8000 series?
I use the voice control with mine, the tv controller has a touchpad and controls Sky but has no pause, FFWD, RWD, play etc. so I use the voice control for that...
Re: Road/Track 172
Nice length ;) do you think you could squeeze in the angled spacers too? It might put the filter in a better position as well as more length
Re: Ph1 172
Cheers :)
This is the cheapest place. The price includes runners and steel side mounts too, delivery is free as well IIRC. http://www.kitpartsdirect.com/products.php/store/85/c1/418/c2/4015/w/RMD_Max_Protection_Single
The seats are the same as the Sparco Pro 2000, its just they...
Re: Ph1 172
It's too much camber. Tyres don't heat up properly. Also it makes the braking less stable.
That's the decision I need to make! I'm leaning towards ITBs though, may as well go all the way!
Re: Ph1 172
Not done much with it recently.
I'll be picking up a 1.2 top dash and a Sabelt wheel next week.
Otherwise I just started preparing for something....
I've got Samsung 5.1 system at the moment but the receiver won't play discs anymore and half the speakers aren't wired up because of the wires.
Is there anything half decent (I'm not a true audiophile) for around £200-300 that has wireless speakers, will play cds and dvds (blu-ray would be nice...
If you're going to fork out on a RS2 and mapping with it being a fun car I see no reason not to go all the way with ITBs. No compromise solution to more power.
A used RS2 inlet + mapping is going to be around £1300-1500. Used ITBs and ECU can be had for around the same, then set aside £300 for...
I've got a Haze 18ah. It's great about about £45. Used some heavy duty Velcro to fix it.
Get the gel type battery, they're happier with constant recharging and being drained.
I'm sure it's 2045cc so not the 1988cc it used to be. But still a 2.0.
It made 317bhp higher up but the torque dropped off so it has been left as you see above. Not sure what the peak rpm was for 317, although the way the graph is going I'd guess about 9500.
I can't remember if the bodies are...
I have the same mods along with a ported and polished head and a 182 manifold. I made 184bhp on Dyno Dynamics rollers at RS Tuning where Paul mapped it.
To break 200bhp (I hope anyway!) I'll be fitting ITBs
Never had problems with my DS2500 on track. Try not to put too much heat in, get the braking done quickly and carry a bit more speed.
They're not the best pad granted, but the dust doesn't eat paint and they're a decent all rounder.
I will be trying Yellowstuff next, At £60ish for a set its...
2.0 Zetec on Catcams, ported head, forged bottom HC end, dry sump and AT Power bodies. It was run in a dyno cell. Over 200lb/ft doesn't seem too shabby.
