does matter if your looking at 2nd had ones as of example vw are the same specs but a 57.1 center bore you you will have to look at 60mm and above for the clio.
also a 7j rim will be fine as well as 6.5j you listed above.

helps response more than bhp figures tbh.
they seem to work alot better with breathing mods such as exhaust, filter and match inlet manifold.
depending on your location/how far you want to travel i recomend rs tuning but there are tuners on here from further darn sarf too, they will be...
green stuffs is your problem, there crap!!
brembo hc front discs, standard rears and ferodo ds2500 pads all round with some performance lines/fluid will see you right!!
rs twingos deffo dont run 4 pots as standard.
the only way you could get them to fit is to run a custom carrier, speak to fred@btm, he was looking into developing a kit for the mk2 clio a while back!!!
they will be fine.
the problems come if/when you want to get uprated shocks/coilovers as the bolt spacing limits choice....
just so you know they dont lower sports 40-45mm, more like 30mm!!
yours its a mk3 facelift.
the cheapest coilovers to fit a mk3 non rs are the ap ones that are around £500.
the other option is to get a -45mm spring kit that range from around £100 to £200.
if your a ftera cheap suspension kit i recomend the fk hightech kit with a -60mm front and -40mm...
forget it, massive pain in the ass turboing a valver as there is so little space and it gets pretty expensive going low comp...
imo if youve got your heart set on a turbo engine conversion put a 1.7 volvo turbo in it, much better bang for your buck!!!
