get the apex kit from john2modified he'll beat k-tec's price's , stay away from spax i had nothing but trouble with the rear dampers and after 3 sets sold them on
no it wont blow the ECU but you must use the right ones, renault ones are NGK you can get them from a motor factors for about £10 where as renault charge £24 for 4, the 1.2 16v goes through plugs like anything due to the engine running really lean
will be the brake servo pipe , become dislodged or split as you have a mk2 172 , its at the back of the inlet manifold black plastic pipe . on the mk2 there is no idle control valve as the TB is electronic
be the coil pack that needs replacing OR at the back of the engine where the ecu plugs in to theloom there is a metal 'cage' this has been known to come loose and rub through some of the wires , when i had my 1.2 16v it had both of these faults
goes in and works but the labour to do it would be imense jordi and matt spent months on it getting it to work 10's of remaps etc no one would do that conversion
better of staying with drums , the rear disks on 172 1.6 16v and DCI are crap to be honest i dont have any trouble with the drums over heating or anything and the shoes last ages , but if you gonna go for a retro fit they will fit but buy the whole beam make sure it comes with abs sensors and...
having a full set of poly engine mounts made up , obviously would be cheaper to get a load at the same time , im talking 172-182 dog bone, front top and under battery engine mount also the front top and dog bone can be used on 1.6 and 1.4 clios also
