I asked the guy in Jessops when I was buying mine. One the things I wanted was stable. He said that one was very stable, and he wasn't lying. It's very heavy either. But weight wasn't a massive concern of mine as I don't tend to carry it very far.
I've moved your thread lover. ;)
I've got a Manfrotto one, something like this: http://www.jessops.com/Store/s49001/0/Tripods/Manfrotto/190XB-ALU-Tripod/details.aspx?&IsSearch=y&pageindex=1&CatId=342&comp=n
I think I paid around £80 for it.
The funny thing is that everyone will think they are common just because a few people on here have them. Only sados like us will order them in white. Normal people will have racing blue or nimbus.
Yes, remote central locking with deadlocks. A normal key with bottons on like the rest of the Clio range. Just think of it as a quicker better looking Dynamique when it comes to the spec.
No key card entry as on the full 197.
I do a 42 mile round trip to and from work. Country lanes in the morning and M6 on the way home if it's clear. I'd rather it didn't get in that state, but it's to cold to be washing cars in this weather.
It looks like I'm the only Trophy owner who actually drives his car judging by this thread! I've washed it today, but must be mad, my parents weren't impressed when I left their house earlier for them to find I'd iced the drive over!!

There's some of it once...
They all have the 4 pots.
The Cup chassic can't be fitted to a second hand 197 but I suppose you could do it yourself if you really wanted it.
Those prices sound about right. Add a few options and the price soon goes up, although I didn't pay a lot more than that for the Cup with Recaros, A/C...
I've always thought the standard seats were very good. They offer better support than the standard seats in the 182.
I can see where Ralph is coming from on the finish though, they aren't as nicely trimmed as the Recaros in the Trophy but they are far more supportive.
I've ordered Recaros for...
I'd go with that mate. I wouldn't buy one, everyone at work reckons I'm gay driving a Clio as it is. The grief I got when I bought a red one with stickers on the sills, they can't wait for me to get the Cup in white. lol
I'm quite looking forward to playing with one again at the end of Feb. The dealer is letting me borrow one for the week before my car arrives, so I can sell the Trophy and let the money clear. I expect it will just be the Dynamique, but even they's quite fun.
I'll have to remove the signed Alonso and Fisi Trophy picture from the landing, it'll just upset me. lol
It's not Panda cheap, but it's still a good chunk cheaper than the Clio. RRP that is.
That's a bit harsh Ralph. I reckon it will be a great fun little car at a very attractive price. It won't set the world on fire but it will allow people to experience what Renault Sport cars are about for less money.
The standard Twingo is actually quite fun to drive, so they've got a decent...
Ah, must have been someone else.
If you want to get the two together for some better pics give me a shout. It will be rally style shoot though the state of mine at the moment!!
You'll have to put the pics up.
I had a puncture earlier this year. The tyre weld was 100% useless. I was really lucky that the Kwik Fit near by had 1 PE2 in stock!!
Even after that grief I'd still not put a spare in my boot like that. I'd never get me large monthly shop in there. It's tight with a gym bag, work back and...
The balls pop out really easily. I lost two on my 172. Rather than take the bumper off to replace them just buy a new stalk from Renault, then pop the ball out and insert it into the existing stalk with a little superglue on it, angle it correctly and leave it. Jobs a goodun.
I've got a second one on my desk at the moment. I'm seriously thinking of SLI'ing them just to see how Cysis runs. Problem is I run dual monitors and that causes problems.
I've just the one in for now.
