We buy P182s at work. Lovely case. Very solid and very quiet due to the sound deadening. A bit of a pig to work on but once it's all in they're really nice.
That shouldn't be that loud Gareth, it's got big slow fans which generate less noise than small fast ones.
I can understand that second one being cheaper. It's an ex dealer demo. I looked at a nearly new demo which they were offloading for just £12k. Two owners in a relatively short space of time.
Saying it's lost £5.5k is only on it's RRP, they never sell for anything like that.
The biggest thing over the Trophy and previous ones I've owned is that it's so stable. The back end never steps out, and under heavy braking it's amazingly stable. I still don't think they pull as well as my Trophy but they corner faster and stop a lot better.
I don't expect the Cup to feel...
He's bought one that's in stock. Factory orders placed now come Jan/Feb. Mine is on order so I have to wait until Jan.
I don't think white will be all that common. Only on here. Not everyone who drive a Renaultsport comes on here.
I posted this over on Renaultsport yesterday:
I was checking out the dashboards on the rest of the Clio range earlier. I've also had a Ripcurl a few times while the Trophy has been in for servicing.
You've all lost the plot. There's nothing wrong with the interior at all. You're all taken...
Done it a few times, it's one of the worst jobs ever.
We're going to have to tackle it again in the new year when all the old switches come out to be replaced by a Cisco Catalyst WS-C6500E.
haha, I did almost ask her out for a beer at one point Rich. Poor girl had to work until 7 so I kept her company for 45 minutes. She did me a VERY good price. 3 cars from there in the last few years though.
I know Warren, but I'm also lazy and don't want the worry of having to maintain a...
I know.
But it's getting on, and I need a new car with warranty which I can use without any worries day in day out and take on track.
If was able to I'd dump the Trophy in my parents garage and not part with it.
I can't remember what I said. lol Whatever I said I'm sure my current financial position has changed what I've decided. I could stretch to a 197 of the same spec but don't see the point and after buying a house this year a new car is a bonus. Especially a decent one.
The more I think about...
Yeah that sounds about right. I was quoted just shy of £14k for 197, cup packs, white and recaros. Using F & F. I'm sure some dealers will still get down to that sort of price though.
I'm sure £12.3k is the lowest I've found the 197 Cup for anywhere. It soon mounts up with the options...
Now I get ya. I know Renault thought long and hard about it, and I even offered my views on it as I know someone at RUK who has a say in these sorts of things. The big problem is there's not a lot else they can do to make it much lighter as they did the 172 Cup.
The 197 Cup is very much a...
Standard car on F & F works out at £12,745.00. £13,595.000 with recaros and white paint.
F & F is currently 15%. Although I got a better deal than that.
I'm trading the Trophy in Brooky. I can't keep two cars.
Where did you get the starting price from Lewis? RRP is £14,995.00 I get Friends and Family discount and I managed to get a little more off than that and it's more than you've worked out. Are you basing that on the 22% they were...
You can get one for under £13k with no extras. You'll be looking nearer £14k with extras. Obviously I got a pretty good deal otherwise I wouldn't be swapping. Recaros are £850 so they really bump the price up.
That's an odd thing to say. The 172 was kitted out with all the luxuries and the Cup is as raw as they come. The 197 Cup sits in the middle of the two.
To produce a 197 the same spec as a 172 used to be would push costs up even more so.
I don't know about out handle, but like you I prefer the 197 on track. The Trophy has an old school hot hatch lose rear end that's for sure. I reckon I could lap most UK circuits consistently quicker in a 197 than in the Trophy.
The 197 is so well planted you can really take the piss and...
Mid Jan. Penciled in for 15th. They're just waiting on the F & F form before they give me a solid date. Once I get it back I just need to sign it and drop it in.
Cheers Jon.
So far the response on here has been very much as I expected. People who can't have one are slating it, when most of them drive cars with a far inferior interior. They can't just say, "I don't really like it" they have to come out with "I'd rather ram a red hot poker down my...
