Good point.
I'd have had an R27 if I'd realised how cheaply I could have picked one up!! I left it to late to get a factory order in, and I wasn't ready for a new car at the time. By the time I was ready it was to late. I didn't go for a FF because I actually prefer the look of the Cup, and...
Not at all. Every time a new model comes out people on Cliosport pick faults and slate it, then after a year or two when they can afford one they love it. It's been going on for years and won't change now. lol
When the 182 came out everyone picked on the silver headlamp surrounds and...
It's a the "we hate the new Clio" cycle. People don't like change I guess.
I just started to type some of the comments I've read on here made about the different revisions over the years, but got bored. lol
Those wheel barrow exhausts seem to have been forgotten about now though.
Most people still have their moms wiping their arses on here though Mark. lol And the vast majority are sheep and can't think for themselves.
He's selling because he needs a family bus Dawnc182. Kid on the way.
This morning around 8.25 on the A5 heading towards the Orbital. I gave a wave but couldn't see if I got one back due to the sun being in my eyes!
It wasn't Breakneck Burns, so there's now 2 red 197s in Cannock.
Welcome to CS. As I've said over on the Renaultsport forum, I'm amazed I've never seen you about as I drive through Great Barr quite a lot.
The Star City meet should be good. You can't go wrong with food and then me winning the ten pin bowling.
I wish it would attract women in the same way, not dudes with gold teeth. He did say he would never pay that sort of money for a Clio though!! Even when I told him what it should cost and what I paid.
I've still not taken any decent pics of mine Paul. There's a couple off my phone in the JDM...
I had someone approach me yesterday, just a random on the car park. The car draws so much attention. Only one car geek ever approached me about the Trophy.
I wouldn't waste my money on a FF 197 now. There's no point. The Cup doesn't lack anything important, and cost a lot less.
What you all seem to forget is that the interior of the Cup is still 100 x better than all the previous Renaultsports, and is the same as most Meganes and normal...
I thought exactly the same thing this morning when I parked in front of it. Mine is a very bright clean white (even though the car is filthy), the Honda is more eggshell. lol
Yeah, he traded his Cayman S in as he worked out it was costing £1400 a month to own and run. He also had a Honda Jazz and wanted just one car. After having 3 Tegs and an S2000 he fancied another Honda. So Litcho did him a good deal in return for some more artwork for the new Type 25.
At...
I was just chatting to my mate about it. He's a Honda fan. His misses has a new diesel Civic, and he's got a couple of Honda bikes, an Accord for towing his race car and an S2000. It's madness they never bought the DC5 over, or the new JDM Civic Type R. It's not like they're not suited to...
He's over here a bit. Both myself and his bro work on 5 ways in Tricorn House.
When I get the chance I'll get some pics of Gaz's new JDM CTR, in Championship white of course. Sounds lovely.
I almost took a pic of my white Cup next to a lad I work withs new JDM CTR. At some point we're going to get our cars, plus his bro's Swift (in this months Banzai Mag I believe) together for a photoshoot. Problem is they are all white and all filthy.
The Swift:
My boss has just been moaning about how I've had 4 new cars in the time he's had 1. We both got made redundant in 2003 and spent our redundancy on brand new cars as we had company cars at the time.
He bought a new 03 plate 307 HDi, which is now on over 120k and just passed it's MOT. Obviously...
That's the point, two more supportive seperate seats which can be moved around individually. It's got bags of room in the back too. The front seats are up there with the standard ones in a 197, and they're fantastic.
I got 23.6mpg the first week. I filled up fully again on Saturday. Drove a 42mile round trip to Birmingham using the M6 and saw 32mpg. Today I've driven to Brum again using normal roads and it's showing just over 29mpg.
I think he's looking for a family bus now there's a sprog on the way.
Yeah that was me. Obviously I couldn't miss your motor burbling away there as you drew some cash out the hole in the wall.
I've only just recovered. A mixture of corona, desperados, sambuka and white Russians isn't a good idea.
It depends on the colour of the Cup. I think they look great against racing blue and nimbus, but I think they are OTT against the black. It could be my ages catching up with me, but I think the anthracite look perfect against the white. Most people who have seen my car this week have agreed...
