    ps, if the spark plug was covered in oil as you say, it may well indicate more major engine problems. definitely get a compression test done.. ask them to do it with, and without, oil added to the bores. Joe.

    if ya need to ask, then you wont have the equipement, it will be cheaper to get your local garage to do it m8 ! Joe.

    if ya got 4k knocking around, its entirely possible.. the ONLY way you can tell the condition of your engine PROPERLY is to strip it. If you do, YOU WILL end up rebuilding it. Joe.

    yep, you CAN adjust the rear. you need to use shim plates from the hub flange to arm, but entirely possible.. thats how the cup racers do it. have fun..

    do a copmression test. - and a water coolant test for blown head gasket. let me know results. Change 1 lead for another on the effected cylinder. If there was - or is - water in the plug well, it CAN cause the problem you desribe. after that, its fueling and injectors.

    you NEED low compression forged pistons, so you would need a rebuild anyway, whoever does the turbo can sort it. Joe.

    totally depend what it is m8, but hopefully yes.. if its head gasket, then it wont be ready in a day.

    Ben J.. those rr figures (from the rr results page) are totally with the fairies. ! eg - a std 172 with airbox and exhaust section - 160 @ wheels.. absolutely, utterly, no way those look more like flywheel power ! that would give your vavler about 103-106 @ wheels. thats...

    boost ??.. up to 22 psi detonation ??. well, there is a much better head design on the 172, better porting and squish/quench.. the ignition system I am using (DTA) is 3d mappable, so any r****d can be applied.. soooooooo, about 22 lol.. nawwww, it could go higher but things will probably...

    Hi M8.. 300 should be achievable .. intitially, I am looking for 200 at the wheels, and about 280 foot / lbs torque .. should be fine on that. depending on the level of fear and flatulence I have - it will be increased in stages.

    Yogi.. its yer brain confusing yer right foot lol.. try this..... go on a good bit of straight road.. now brake using the left foot !.. easy in the Nicole... when you pick yer nose off the windscreen lol.. you will realise how good the brakes are ... and..... left foot braking...
