Now it's machine polishing and not by hand. I'm going to be using the Menzerna range when I do it at Easter. For claying I would say Meguiars Quik Clay, you get the clay bar and the lube for about £12 from Halfords. Just make sure when you use plenty of lube so the clay glides on the surface.

Yep, it's fine. That's what I have used on mine before with great results. Below is a picture using that combo a while back.

By hand I would say Autoglym Super Resin Polish. Follow that with a few layers of Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection.

Get someone to hold the sensor down and lock the car...then release the sensor and if it works it should set the alarm off I think.

Just tested mine for you and mine doesn't show as a door open if the bonnet is.

If you have a Tuner List radio you can get the standard one like this and it will work with your steering wheel controls.

Supa Snow Foam for me, some people do a SSF and CG Maxi Suds mix.

Definately better results, for a good finish it's all in the prep. Have a look at this thread of Rich's which shows you how good it can look when looked after and prepared well. What colour car do you have?

EGP is Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection which is a sealant, over which you can use a wax as like the icing on the cake ;)

Something like doing wash, clay, polish, glaze, sealant and wax sort of thing.

One of my favourites from David is the CG Extreme Wash n Wax, especially if your not going to do 'the works'.

I find cleaning the bit of the steering wheel makes it bad for gripping like you say. I use Poorboys Natural Look Dressing for the centre of the wheel and the rest of the dash.

Some good choices there mate, which ones haven't you tried before? You'll let the Blitz...I find it makes the flake pop nicely. :cool:

How bad is it? I would imagine that your finger nail catches on it. Any pictures of it maybe?

They look so much better than using normal ones, especially if you have xenons.

Knowing what things are like there will be another one out before you come to making a choose. Was sorting through the garage today and I've got so many bottles that aren't even started. I think I might try some of the Swissvax Autobahn Wheel Sealant next as it looks good and the other...

That's what I've done before and mine worked, it should do the trick.

Alan have you tried the WheelGuard? I personally think it's much better than the RimWax.

I've just fitted one to mine so 'might' be able to help. What problem have you got in removing it?

For this sort of thing I've always used Partition Magic.

Can't go far wrong with AG SRP for polish and AG EGP for sealant, you should only really need shampoo to clean them afterwards.
