Now it's machine polishing and not by hand. I'm going to be using the Menzerna range when I do it at Easter.
For claying I would say Meguiars Quik Clay, you get the clay bar and the lube for about £12 from Halfords. Just make sure when you use plenty of lube so the clay glides on the surface.

Definately better results, for a good finish it's all in the prep.

What colour car do you have?
I find cleaning the bit of the steering wheel makes it bad for gripping like you say.
I use Poorboys Natural Look Dressing for the centre of the wheel and the rest of the dash.
Knowing what things are like there will be another one out before you come to making a choose. Was sorting through the garage today and I've got so many bottles that aren't even started.
I think I might try some of the Swissvax Autobahn Wheel Sealant next as it looks good and the other...
