In response to the suggestions about Megs/STs etc remember that at 20 most insurers won't touch you on anything with boost! I've already tried, fastest new-ish boosted thing I can insure is a Corsa VXR and even then its £700 more than a 200.
Why the funk would you plaster RENAULT over the back end of the car as if it's something to boast about? It's like walking around with your name tattooed on your forehead.
Way more hassle than it's worth trying to convert them. Cheaper/easier to just get a set of second hand 1.2 headlights from a scrappy. Will mean people trying to knock you down on price/ thinking it's been in a crash when you come to sell though.
Also, the items you listed above can be had off...
I love the colour choice, and the black trims compliment it very well too. It's good to see someone who has actually bothered to pay decent money for a good job as it looks a very good finish.
Only thing I think lets the car down are the years out of date rear lights, lets down a unique car...
Parts are more expensive if you want genuine Renault or high performance parts but then that's obvious with it being a higher performance car.
Fuel costs are barely any different, about £10 a week difference between my 172 and my old 1.2, and that's running the RS on V-Power. Like Martin said...
