I think its mine although I have no proof. Its a standard car but I think cos its black it adds to the air flow dynamic flux capacitor and gives more speed to the horse gallon power.
Its total crap that a backbox can rip your engine off its mountings. However The terms of your waranty clearly state that modifying the car can invalidate your waranty. Seems like your particular dealership are sticking a bit too close to the rules. Try taking it to another dealer, you dont have...
best VFM car without a doubt. Someone is selling a Mk1 172 on this site in the for sale bit for £8,500. If you want to buy new for cheap tho the cup is the way to go. They can be driven normally, just keep the revs below 3.5 K and your sorted. I think cups are a bit more eyecatching than 172 too...

where did you get the under bonnet JBL sub from m8? been after one of those for a while :)
yeah you can get splitter m8, would be easier than ripping your existing stuff out. One tip tho, get them from a hifishop rather than from autoleads or whatever as hifi ones will reduce any loss in sound quality caused by splitting the signal (this should be pretty minimal anyway)
that net is the finest invention ever. I had an aluminium record box in there this weekend (about 13 inch h/d/w and weighing about 30 kilos) and it held it down whilst I did the twisties. Superb!
just been back to the shop as I figured out that they have given me the wrong lead!
Surprise surprise the one I need has to be ordered so I wont have it until the end of the week, but the bloke in the shop said you have to take the top off the dashboard to plug this in??
Right Ive got a pioneer head unit and an autoleads adapter. Ive removed the old cd player and I have a little yellow connector vlock that wont go into either the pioneer or my adapter?
Also the autoleads instructions are useless and the diagrams (hand drawn) dont make sense. Has anyone done...
my 03 plate 172 was only 12.5k. If you can get a cup for under 10 grand tho that really is probably about the best value for money performance car around.
mine is always on 31.5 no matter what I do to it. Girlfreind drives it very conservatively during the week and I thrash the b****cks off it at weekends and it just stays the same.
How do you reset it?
folia tec spray m8. Sounds dodgy but it does work. Did it to my nova a few years back.
Im now totally opposed to any sort of rear light modification as I think it looks awful!
I chose 172 simply because I couldnt afford a type r. Type Rs are very nice cars (even though the interiors crap compaired to the 172) they are fast and probably have more street cred than a 172 which is a bit more subtle (which I do like now I have one!)
I love the 172 to bits but you cant...
I rekon a few tuning tweeks to the 172 would be a better option than trading it in. Youll loose a lot of money doing that with a deal I assure you (probably about 2 1/2 grand) Imagine the performance mods 2 1/2 grand would get you.
hmmm in that case I think the esp systems is not seamless. I know the idea behind it is that you can chuck the car into a bend and the esp helps you get round it but maybe Im old fashioned. I just wouldnt trust the car to it if you know what I mean. Something about it just dont feel right when...
I dont think its a fake of anything, its just a film that at some point someone has overhyped by calling it a 120 MPH dash through paris when clearly its just not anything like those speeds. Like someone mentioned earlier in this thread there was a woman with a kid and they didnt even look...
