Really noticed this this weekend, I always drive with it off anyway as the geezer at the garage said it gives you better fuel economy. Anyway the last couple of days there have been a couple of times when Ive been driving reasonably hard and when cornering there seems to be a microsecond where...
I like how the pics disguise the venoms. Cant fool us tho. What a pile of crap. I dont know where hes spen five quid on mods either lol.
I rekon there should be a clio crime gallery and that one should be on it :D
Just wondered if anyone else had noticed a lack of power in the hot weather? Mine has been noticibly slower today, I was surpise how much difference a reletively slight increase in air temperature made......gonna have to get me an inductrion kit to make up for it I think ;)
there was an awful rover with an industion cone poking out of the wing parked up at york last weekend. Wont do the filter any good at all being exposed to the elements.
probably next year as thats when the new clio comes out, I rekon maybe later in 04 well see new cups and probably something to replace the 172 alltogether (200 sport maybe? turbo? yes please!)
132 is pushing it m8 specially when theres other cars about, but well done anyway. Show the poofs with hardressers cars a thing or two about real mens cars hehe
deffo keep the valver. For me any sort of old turbod ford just gives out the wrong message. To many knobs driving them about with smoke pouring out the back . 5 turbo will give you greif but if you already own a valver ..... ;)
What about a BB turbo conversion for the valver??
yeah much as I love my 172 I wount call it a sports car. Sports cars are genrally stuff like MGs, MR2s not really owt to do with sport but thats what the motoring press rekon.
clios and stuff are genrally referred to as hothatches

Someone who came along with my mate in an s4...
Who do you rekon would win?
Im accompanying my mate down to york on Monday who drives one and am wondering if I should bother trying to race him or not.
Top speed is well over the 172 and the 0-60 time is a smidge lower at 6.6 seconds, maybe my willingness to thrash the nads off the car...

Welcome to the wonderful world of the 172. I was aretired boy racer till I got my 172. Im now saving for nitrous.
Theres no way a petrol station would delibrately sell dodgy fuel. Imagine the libility cases! Plus your car does have a filter in the fuel line so even if there was any cack (which is more likely to have come from outside when you open the petrol flap etc) it cannot go through to the engine...
I looked at all the options available for running in and decided to rag it :)
That said I never redlined it, just took it to about 6 grand occasionally and gave it a few good hard accelrative runs. Basically I had fun whilst bearing in mind I dint want to pop my engine.
At the end of the...
