I don't know what browser you use but go into the preferences and the privacy settings and look for something like Saved Form History and clear/delete that. There might be an option to disable it altogether so that it never saves it.

By not using it you haven't agreed to the Windows licence so if you're lucky you can get a refund on the cost of the OS. Some places sell laptops without an OS although I agree, I doubt you'd get a sony one without.

You pay for it in the price of the machine. Some users have gotten their money back on pre-installed Windows if they haven't used it and removed it straight away.

Just Ubuntu, it replaced XP. Chose it over a year ago due to good reviews and a large support forum.

Athlon 3200+ 1Gb DDR 128Mb Geforce 6800 + Nvidia Driver 1.0-9631 Beryl is as smooth as a babies arse mate! I wouldn't run it if it lagged in any way.
