I don't know what browser you use but go into the preferences and the privacy settings and look for something like Saved Form History and clear/delete that.
There might be an option to disable it altogether so that it never saves it.
Not true! It does have games.
3 "Windows" games that spring to mind that work natively under linux are:
Unreal Tournament 2004
Quake 4
Doom III
The CD/DVD's either have a linux installer on them or you can download the installer (free)
You can also run some other windows games through WINE...
I used MS products including windows for the best part of 13 years and always had problems. If you keep it bog standard and don't install anything then sure you're unlikely to have many problems but when you start installing additional software (lets face it, you have to) then things start going...
I don't hate MS but I know Windows is shite, I used it long enough.
I didn't learn to use a computer with MS products, I learnt with Amiga Workbench and then my first MS product was DOS. I wasn't born into the spoon feeding generation.
My other half isn't very computer literate but even she is...
Macester - MS is rubbish and you're lying if you say that your windows experience is a dream. This isn't my first time with Linux either, as my sole OS I've been using it 14 months and dabbled with it for about 6 months before that.
Spoonie - I think most Linux users have a copy of Windows in...
By not using it you haven't agreed to the Windows licence so if you're lucky you can get a refund on the cost of the OS.
Some places sell laptops without an OS although I agree, I doubt you'd get a sony one without.
You pay for it in the price of the machine. Some users have gotten their money back on pre-installed Windows if they haven't used it and removed it straight away.
Windows will always be s**t lol
Always has been and probably always will be!
Out of interest, If Vista or Vista+1 was the last ever OS that MS made, would you still stick with Windows?
Somebody must give a f**k, this thread is nearly 3 pages long now ;)
Minority has nothing to do with anything. Windows is the most used OS because it comes pre-installed with nearly all PC's.
Windows is for dumbies really, like Macester said even his mum can use it. It's not a good thing -...
Why make your own OS when there are better ones freely available?
The flaws are already there, it hasn't got flaws because someone found them.
You may think MS OS's are the greatest thing since sliced bread but unless you use them whilst on crack I bet you've found yourself cursing when...
If people kept their opinions to themselves life would be very dull.
You're obviously an MS fan boy and can't bear to see people saying bad things about them.
By the way, not all of us non MS users, use mac OS's, there are others out there... ;)
I'm not an MS user, I wasn't bothered either way about Vista but the more I read the more I cringe.
Considering the amount of time, money and effort that's gone into it.... could have done better.
Gnome with Beryl. Gnome on it's own is too plain now lol
Don't like the current KDE much, like you said it's a bit too much like Windows although I will give KDE 4 a try when it's released.
XFCE is ok but doesn't give me any reason to leave Gnome for it.
Tried E17 last night, whilst it has...
Agree, had to blink a few times as I thought it was my eyes lol
The telephone numbers are also blury.
You also need to check your spelling as I saw "etc" spelt "ect" one one of the pages.
You seem to be missing an image when you mouseover on "Location".
Sorry mate, always used Nvidia.

If it was a kernal update that buggered it, you may just need to reinstall your video drivers.
