I couldn't agree more with the above statement, the finish of these nano based sealants appears clinical in comparison with the likes of TC and wax based sealants. They are awesome on strong metallics though
I've only limited experience with the AF kit (limited experience in machine polishing if I'm honest) but seems to work fine. Hexlogic pads and menzerna compounds are a tried and tested formula on DA.
Check the for sale threads on here and DW and sure you'll make a saving
My first order with elitecarcare
Cquartz glass polish and flyby30 glass sealant kits
XL uber plush yellow drying towels x2
And a whole load of applicators and MF 's
My friend had it streak on him on his black 330d and he wasn't over applying or leaving it to cure. Sprayed once onto a panel, spread around with one MF and instantly buffed off with a 2nd. I can only put it down to the air and panel temps
A 2nd wipe down after we'd finished and it was fine...
Use very little, a single spray on a panel is all that is needed to coat it, bar the bonnet or roof that may need a little more.
Other than that it's simple, one of the easiest products you'll ever use.
It's hard to say without trying it myself, but personally I would initially just use RR, then a few weeks later top it with C2, that way you get to see the performance of RR instead of just C2
Doing all the research really helps, but he's not on the forums, but actual experience also helps, as he kept making comments ' we weren't putting on enough or thick enough to protect' etc. The normal areas where a beginner makes a mess of things
The guy is fairly new to detailing, only ever used poorboys wipe on sealant, so this way he got a chance to experience using different types of products like waxes and sealants, pre wax cleansers and chemical cleaners, the difference in finish and feel, the durability and water behaviour...
This morning gave a friends black e92 330d (identical to toby's) a quick cleanse and seal. I'd forgotten how much I love AND hate working with black cars. Washing and water spots mid day was a pain
Drivers side with a sealant. Passenger side with a wax. Then a final wipe down with Victoria...
Did you use your normal pads and compound, or with a specific glass polish, or go the whole way with proper glass based pads and polish like the carpro kits?
I know it's cheap, which is why I'm struggling to consider anything else. 3 layers on the front screen lasted at least 2 years, and did several cars with the 10ml bottle. So I have no doubt I'll be pleased with it once again, but I just wondered if the newer versions from other man'f were a step...
Only had judder with reload.
C2v1 plus C1.5v1 plus C2v3 have all performed faultless on glass. Yes wiper area they die off but still bead off at decent speeds.
Oddly enough one of the best things about it is the sheeting when washing and rinsing. On my screen beading starts between...
G5 is a bit redundant IMO with the likes of C1.5 and C2. They last almost as long and are much easier and quicker to apply.
For me and my general driving, if I'm going slow enough for G1 not to work, I'm going so slow that G5 didn't work either. Then the other part of my daily drive I'm...
Nano glass sealants, what have people used and rate. I've ran out of G1, and although very good it's nice to try something new.
It will only be used on my 2 cars so don't need much, and ideally must last minimum of 12months
If plastic panels get hot, really hot then the risk of separation between paint and plastics can occur. Really depends on your technique and not working the same spot too long
Either hd wax or colli.
as for the waxybox, check out chappers11 group buy on 3months for £40 if we get 50 people, compared to £15 plus delivery individually.
