    A vibrating gear selector will be down to a faulty engine mount / bent driveshaft / selector bushes in the bottom of the rod knackered etc - take it back and get it sorted if its still under warranty. If it only works when the traction control kicks in it may just be a characteristic of the car...

    I to have spoken to quite a few "experts" and they reckon if i spent £5k on a c0ck extension i could increase from an 8" to a 12" c0ck. So if you invest the money there is no reason you cant get a big c0ck for £5k

    Ben - sometimes in life the simplest idea's are the best. The 1.8 T lump is a world wide proven lump and has been used in many conversions, some of which are running 10 sec qtr miles in FWD cars. The F4R 744 T lump has yet to be proven.

    OK smart arse - lets see you fit a 225 in a clio I know 3 people that have fitted the 1.8 T in a clio with outstanding results. Once you have fitted the 225 megane engine in a clio let me know and i will glue a big rubber c0ck on my bonnet and drive round beeping the national anthem.

    The engine fits in very easily - you will have to get hold of audi engine mounts and fabricate new mounts were the 172 ones go. Funnily enough all the mounts fit in the same place as the Audi ones do. Personally i would fit a 5 speed manual box with quaiffe LSD. Try to get an S3 lump if you can...

    Thats right - the 225 lump will probably implode at 275bhp without steel rods and forged pistons. The VAG lump on a standard bottom end can be tuned to 350 bhp or with steel rods and forged pistons 550 bhp + ( In america there running them at 800 bhp )

    run 205 yokos on the front ( road wheels ) and 215 Mickey T racing slicks for the strip. The gearbox is a 6 speed with strengthened internals and a quaiffe LSD

    You can basically fit any engine in any car if you know what your doing. The difficulty with the 225 engine is getting it wired up and running - ive not yet come accross one wrote off 225 to use for donor bits. The engines are crap and im sure if you tune them there gonna blow - the gearboxes...

    Stay well clear of that conversion - ive looked into it and its to messy. Fred bought most of the tackle off me and i think he has now realised its to much hassle. Hes not getting a refund though ;)

    No mate - about 330 bhp - if you spent another £1200 on steel rods and forged pistons you get get 400 bhp ( price includes IHI VF34 )

    Unbolt your oil pressure sensor and if it trickles out you have a leak somewere are a knackered pump. If it pours out very fast it will be a faulty oil pressure sensor.

    The 10 digit part number on the back of the new clocks must be the same number as your old clocks.

    Yes you can alter the fueling / advance are r****d the ignition for tuning purposes even on standard Manufacturers ECU's. For example Chris n Nic have just taken there 172 cup to chip wizards in Rochdale and he managed to abstract 197 bhp from there engine on a standard Renault ECU.
