Captain, the remapping was done using serial reprogramming using Superchips gear, PowerStation include London Superchips in the office above the garage, and they did 4 different mappings tweeking it each time, so he would go off, email superchips saying what he wanted to be modded on the next...

BRUN, I dont know the transmission loss figure, but I fairly sure it wasnt changed throughout the runs, the PC was right in front of us all the time, I will try and remember to call him on monday and ask, but as it was the same throughout as a percentage increase it works out as 6.358%, which...
Chris, I doubt I could (Or would want to) claim off him, as he only hit it himself and probably got some damage off it as well - Im gonna get a few quotes for repairs, and then look at possibly just getting the light cluster and grill for now, and find someone to repair the bonnet and bumper...

Well guys (n gals) me and Fred are back from Power Engineering, and the results from the remapping are ..... Good :D
Now, before you all say anything, I completely forgot to ask him to get bhp @ the wheels values (Bugger) but there were no setup changes to the RR between runs so the results...

Right, after some more talking to the guys, Ive optd to go for Power Engineering, basically I think they can do a more custom job of remapping the ecu, instead of a standard superchip mapping, getting it as spot on as it can be, RR before and after obviously, so hopefully Ill put the printouts...

Sorry MaLicE, hadnt forgotten your post, Im just now stuck in the middle, cos Ive just had a word with the guy down at Power Engineering, and he sounded a bit more confindent about what he could do to the car to get it spot on, so..... Anyone got any thoughts on who to go for for the RR and...

Well, talking purely from a Mk2 172 perspective, fitting Eibachs sorted out the handling niggles which I had, including body roll etc, the car seems alot more with it on the road now, but I agree with the other guys, it wont help you with understeer etc, but it has helped make my car more...
Well, IMHO fitting Eibach springs is prob the best mod you can do for the money, theyre progressive so the ride, although better, is not any less comfortable, lower, reduces the body roll that is experienced in the 172 (Ok, its not much compared to my old Honda accord, but ...)
Best money you...

I know there was a Rolling Road day down at PowerStation a while back, I was just wanting to know what you guys thought of it, as Im intending to go down on friday for a SuperChip serial reprogramming, and Im booked in for an RR session before and after to give me a good solid indication of...
172Cup - Yeah, there is a quickShift available for the 172, infact itll fit most Clios (If I remember right).
It really does make the throw alot shorter, more postive etc etc.
Slugger has just had it fitted to his, and Ive had mine for a couple of a months now - absolutely fine, youve just...

Ive got the Eagle F1 GSD2s, and they fantastic, really good wear rate, and stick like glue (Much better than the ContiSports IMHO)
The GSD3 had just come out when I was looking to change, but they werent made in the size I needed (195/45/16) but the gsd2s are great... not a word to say against...
