Run of bad luck? - Tis but a scratch! (In true Monty Python style! :D)
Well, just gotta get over this one and itll be done, then I can start talking about stoooooooooopid power mods again :devilish:
Bloody Renault dealer......
When I ordered the parts last week I told them very very clearly that I needed an Offside headlamp cluster, and a top grill for a Mk2 172.....
Now I pick the parts up today, and..... fantastically they had got the headlamp cluster right! its a xenon one...

But Ill get round to it in a bit, so, if youve got any advice Id be greatful.
BTW Im gonna get some black mesh, cos I dont wana loose the look of the bottom bit against the silver.
Jamesc2 - For traction control, have a look at the RaceLogic gear, meant to be tops, TimO runs it on his Mk1 172 and it seems to do the trick - website shouldbe something like www.racelogic.co.uk
Mike, with ours it would be a minor remap to bring the timing in good and proper not worth doing it without doing it right, well thats my 2penth anyway.
Hmm sorry to say that the hp results look way too optomistic, as it trys to gather bhp ATW, and those figures are too high, What settings did you use, and the wieght setting seems to be critical, and the wieght of driver and fuel has a bigish influence on it, also the tilt compensation.
All...

Haitch - well the guy at Power Engineering was very sure about what he was doing, and they have given me a guarantee for the work, so that gives me some confidence in it :)
They can do a superchip a bit cheaper than that, but with the viper and zorst mods you really want it remapped to make...
Simon - its the first bend after the Viper, so youve got the standard 90% connector onto the throttle body, then the vipe, and then the ducting, and the ducting must do a very tight 90% bend off toward the nearside light cluster, now that 90% is a b*tch, and Ive already had to cut and refit the...
Simon, you mention WYREM ducting, well I have a quick look round and found http://www.flexiblehose.co.ukwww.flexiblehose.co.uk, which lists the bend radius as 1.5 times its diameter, but on the same site theyve got PU Vinylflex and PU Superflex, and both of these are available in load of...
Well, Im happy with mine, the results are good and the note is excellent (As some of you heard @york and Fosse Park).
David, when are you getting the de-cat pipes in mate? Ive gotta keep pushing mine now, cant have you k-tec guys having a faster car ;) also when you gonna be able to do me...
Magnet - Quality of the K-tec is second to none, and if Dave sets it up itll be lined up dead right and never knock (Unless you drop the car to the floor or summat) Mines the full Cat Back system btw.
