Telford_mike - I hear ya mate, but I just cant justify it with the repair bill and all, shame really, but gotta have it done before Brands Hatch ;-)

ak_uk - Dont think the rev limit will make a power difference, mine (As the profile says) was 184 @ 6091 rpm, but it does mean you get the jump on others, gear changing later etc etc.
Now, anyone got some ideas on how to get to 200+bhp????? :devilish:

K-tec exhaust becoming much more quiet??? r u sure? mine certainly isnt, but then again Ive got the 2x3" tailpipes..... still waking the neighbours up, setting car alarms off etc etc......
And I like it that way :devilish:

They remap the standard ECU, it means no-one can see any physical alteration - very cool indeed....
Ive just got back in from work, and on the way home I tested out the rev limiter in 2nd and 3rd again, just to make sure Ive got it right, now the limiter in both gears is deffo .... wait for...

Was talking to Trev earlier today, and he mentioned the bruntingthorpe(sp?) Performance GTI thing a couple of weeks ago, and the figures he got, and theyre bloody fantastic, I remember someone else did a huge thread on it, but just thought Id mention it again, anyway, heres the stats:
0-60 4.8...
Chris, K-tec does sound the dogs, but it is loud, and youve gotta take that into account, the Magnex is a bit quieter (still a very good sound though, no doubt), k-tec are gonna do a 4" silencer to replace a bit of straight-through piping, so that would calm it a bit.....
hehehe yeah, you and youre big wheels fred LOL
Yeah, power wise, a good exhaust (Magnex or even a k-tec perhaps? ;)) a viper, and a custom remapping does the world of good, my fuel economy has gone up (getting about 2-3 mpg more now on normal driving) but the power when booting it is great :D...
Im always confused by this one, but I thought that if a wheel had say a 38 offset, and you wanted to put them on a car which as standard had a 48 offset, you would put spacers on as well, but you cant do it the other way round can you? or am I thinking the wrong way round?

Can anybody help please?
Since having the viper fitted the nearside headlight is a touch too high cos the intake pipe touches the back of the light unit, and because of the shovel incident the offside headlight is too low, now I see that there are what looks like allen key adjusters on the...
