Looked great and went well on the day. I've booked the next one through Javelin in August, its another GP and Coastal :)
Let me know if you want any high res pics of yours, the ones I put up were resized and then photobucket made them nice and fuzzy.
Re: Ph1 172
Phoned Quaife wondering what was taking so long. "I'm sorry we won't be able to look at it until the week beginning the 8th of July"...
Half tempted to f*** them off and get a refund. I haven't had the car for 4 weeks already, missed the f***ing summer
Re: Ph1 172
Sent the ITBs off to AT Power as a couple of the throttle plates had play in the fittings. Should get those back soon.
There has been a delay with the gearbox but the old diff and 4.06 crownwheel are with Quaife at the moment.
Waiting on the Supertech valves to get the head...
Good price! £532 delivered. There'll be customs charges on that and then fitting of the crownwheel, which is not easy. It's possible to get the Quaife for £900 all in with the crownwheel fitted.
If you know someone who can do the crownwheel and you can avoid the charges you can't go wrong at...
I had 3D boost control set up on my DTA :) Omex can't do it though. I went DTA as it was better value for money than the Omex, had better features and I get more support for it from my local mapper.
I've been recommended a few ECUs but it depends on what the tuner/dealer favours really.
I've got a DTA S40 as it was well priced, had better features than the Omex 600 and my local mapper deals with DTA so I got a better price on the ECU, wiring, mapping etc.
I've run Megasquirt in the past...
If money had no affect on my decisions it would be cams (supercharger specific) and a supercharger with a shorter final drive. I simply prefer the power delivery.
However turbo can be done on more of a budget.
Both are quick, but its down to the driver and the mapping. If its mainly as a road...
Re: Ph1 172
I've got an EC1 ECU but I think I'm going to sell it and get a Gen90 in September time as KTec are doing an adapter loom so its plug 'n' play in a ph1. Don't fancy splicing it into the loom, just haven't got the time or patience any more.
