Re: Ph1 172
No, got a couple of guys interested in the DTA ECU and still got the intercooler, boost pipes, rad, inlet and some small bits to shift.
I'm considering breaking it right now whilst it's all in bits...
Re: Ph1 172
Went to the garage again with the ARP bolts and gaskets and my mate pointed out that oil is leaking from the back of the engine from the headgasket. I give up now, wish I'd never bought the stupid car.
There's a couple of good rolling roads close to me, this place being one of them. http://www.silverstoneautosport.co.uk/rolling-road-a-mapping.html
But I guess they won't have the means to do it?
Might no be applicable to a Clio. It was on an old Fiesta so the way it mounts will most likely differ.
I'll go with the top hole anyway. Currently the car has 0 camber both sides, strange seeing as its on Cooksport springs. Anyway if I turn them to MAX either side will that be 1.5 or 1.75...
Do you fit them in the top or bottom hole?
I know it's usually the top hole. The reason I ask is a friend fitted his in the bottom hole to get more camber adjustment.

I'm still debating whether to try and make a trip to Paul at RS Tuning or get Henk to do a map. In the long run I'm planning something else so I'm leaning towards a custom map by Henk at the moment.
Re: Ph1 172
Gearbox went off to GEARS in Southport, it'll cost a bit more than Agency but I've used them a few times before and they courier it both ways for free.
It'll be running Cup gears so 3.09, 1.86, 1.32, 1.03 and 0.79 with a 4.07 final drive. I couldn't get the 4.21 final I wanted or...
Re: dmallett's 421'd monaco
I remember my mates Yellowstuff smoking like mad after 10 laps at Anglesey, they were nearly new. Then they were fine after that
They are the same as the Rally Design ones. Not sure if they are the same as the Varley and Odyssey but the materials are the same and the weights, sizes, amps etc. are all around the same figure.
I was building a hill climb car a few years ago but it had to go unfortunately. Now I'm looking into using the Clio. Although tbh spending a whole day for 5 minutes of driving isn't great.
I'd have to check the blue book very carefully as its for the road class. Things like induction, exhaust...
Thanks! I just saw those in another post!
They're weights from a 172 cup with thinner glass, so I assumer would there be more saving with the other models?
