Few mm at a guess. If you ever get chance to look at the marks the exhaust leaves on the head compared to the port size there is huge room to bore out.
Fair enough mate. It's a shame UCH units can't be reprogrammed  If they were under £200 it's not an issue. Although, lots of faults some times point to the UCH, when if fact it's nothing to do with it. So a waste of money really.
The only problem I could see is if people buy the incorrect...
There are two pins which recieve voltage, one before (pin 30) and one after (pin 66) ignition. If the ECU is recieving the correct voltage, and clip is showing all computers except the ECU, i'd be going down the route of a second hand engine loom.
That's the fun part :S it could be loads of wiring related this, or something simple like a bad earth. Manually earth stuff to rule that out. If you can change the engine loom it might be worth a few hours work to rule out wiring breaks and dodgy connection. Also, the white plug under the engine...
It's most likely there rather than interior loom IMO.
I'm intrigued as to what clip actually said. If there is an immobilizer issue it stops you being able to communicate with the ecu properly giving the assumption there is a problem with it. Did you see the test screens?
^^^ it's good, but don't spray directly into the bay when you have a french car that has crap wiring anyway. Recipe for disaster imo.
Just using damp microfibres works just as well for me.
it does look the part, but i'm always cautious about these things. when you think a decent sport exhaust mani is probably 3 figures, it put it into perspective for me. I'd love to see the difference if it makes any though :D
Oh and what's with the hangers on it :S
