Get a complete oil change,its recommended you get a full oil change before the 1st service. I changed mine at 3k. John

Hi Mate, Had mine on a week now and still no light and it sounds the nuts...defo worth it IMHO.

Sorry to hijack the thread a little. When i'm back in the UK i'm planning on buying the throttlebody conversion with the trumpets as seen on GDI and yozza circa 3700+. Is it worth me getting it or wait and see what other mods are coming out next few months? Don't fancy loosing my AC though... John

Hi Thomass, He's running circa 215-220BHP with insane levels of torque,he's got LSD,leda's,ITG maxogen induction. It goes and sounds amazing....sticks to the road like glue....amazing car. John

What is clarkson on about when he says the exhaust note is far too loud?? I find it really quiet when cruising at 50/60. Also you can adjust the back of the seat,it takes some doing but its doable,lol. John

You can get a decat for 100 for a 172 and a decent exhaust system for 200-300. Remap your looking at 250+. GDI are excellent and so is Yozzasport. BBtuning are up there aswell. I'll mention K-tec too but i find them overly expensive compared to the other companies. John

From what i've seen and read it varies from car to car,some people have had their decat on for 3 months + and still no light. I've had mine on 3/4 days now and no light but i suspect that will change soon. Is having the light on such a big deal? You know why its on... John

Get your inlet matched for under 200 quid is one of the best pounds/bhp increase IMHO along with a decat and then remap it to see the full benefits. You'll lose power with the viper unless you have your car remapped accordingly. John

As far as springs go,apex will drop your car approx 40mm and are a pretty decent spring for the price,or there is the Eibach sportlines which drop 30mm approx,not heard of anyone with PI springs so can't comment but a lot of people like the apex/eibach springs. Decat i would very much recommend...

GDI at a very good price but take a look at yozza and BB tuning aswell but both are a little more expensive iirc.

Yeah its not bad considering its just the decat,getting an aftermarket exhaust in the near future so hopefully should sound even better. Still no emissions light on yet either which is good news but told it can take a while to appear. John
