fubar - ideally i want a full carbon bonnet, or a carbot skin, with fibre glass subframe. No metal, so as light as possible. As for the roof and boot, yes its just a skin, but wouldnt weigh much, but more improtantly would look PIMP!

have heard some very good things abouth the KMS ecu, QEP are doing them also. They have a self mapping facility when using a wide badn lambder sensor. I woudl certanly try one, and its certanly cheaper than many other current market options.

a regular 6 point cage (without door bars) will weigh approx 25kgs.

the extra stiffness added to the chassis will outweigh the extra kgs your putting in via a cage. decision now is.... 6 point cage or multipoint??

cliobuyer - just to add to what joe has said, yes we did research, otherwise we wouldnt of pumped nearly 2k into the development of this exhaust. as said, we know not everyone has that sort of money to spend on an exhaust, but the few (which seem to be growing day by day) that want the best...

yup, respray it, but spray it white! with black wheels! just make sure its a proper job! which will probably cost in the region of 1500 - 2k

no point in revving more than a few hundred rpm over the point at where power tails off. in my old saxo track car (t/b's, omex, blah blah blah..) it revved to 7800, it stopped making power at 7250 (mild cams), was was pretty pointless. only advantage is it gives you a little more room to...

no point in having a car remapped as a first modification, or if you plan to change things in the near future. if you want more power, do the basics first, like a decent exhasut (see engine section, BTB exhausts post) panel filter etc. then when your at a decent point get the ECU remapped...

BenR - a mystery to us too, Despite us talking to BTB! Hence why we dont want to use it in the system. And it also makes alot of sense to leave it out, with reference to the CAT, MOT time etc.

if we talking ultimate... why not some TAROX 10 Pots?? lol. bigger disc allows greater leverage, and better heat dispertion. but as you say, with the ill effects of more unsprung weight etc. i guess you pays your money, and makes your choice!

ah right, i see. as for bigger discs being a waste of money, not if you want ultimate braking force.
