Achievements are pure genius. I find I play games a lot more just to get them.
A couple of lads at work have cleared 20k now.
People are now putting their gamertags on their CV when applying for job here. I've got mine in my email sig as have a few others here.
When I'm playing games on...
If you've got Nero you can just drop it into that if the format is okay. It takes a while to convert it though, and if the audio was encoded at a variable bit rate it will end up out of sync with the video.
That's one of the most impressive things in it. Think what happens in other games where you walk through groups of people, GTA, Crackdown, Saints Row etc. they just stand there or get in the way not moving. If they pull that off that will be a true next gen feature.
That's not an easy thing...
Mine's got stuck over the last couple of weeks what with having no broadband, waiting for the new plasma, and no furniture. I'm looking forward to a bit of R6 online tonight.
PS1 actually had a pretty good product line up at launch. An almost arcade perfect Ridge Racer on a home console was the thing of dreams. The rest have been pretty weak but still had a killer app.
If anyone thinks the PS3 has a killer app at present then they have no idea what a decent game...
How about those that do own one? They know what they are missing even more so, decent games for starters. lol
The only thing it's good for is playing Blyray movies, and I don't have time to watch those.
That's what it isn't, but most people think it is. VVT on the Clio only activates at low revs to assist with the idle from what I can remember.
Ben/Fred? Hurry up and give us the full answer. lol
Cams: http://auto.howstuffworks.com/camshaft.htm
From memory I think it's got something to do with the cams being at their most effective/efficient point at 5k.
BenR will be along with the correct answer if I'm wrong. lol
That doesn't even come close to the SAN and servers we're just specing up.;)
You need whole racks of hard drives. Just think of all the p**n I could store.
The V can be made to drift, but it doesn't do it well.
I was at Brands with Jeremy Townsend who was trying his hardest to drive the final bend for the camera. Bearing in mind he's actually done a course in how to drift a car, it wasn't easy even for him. He got it sideways and under control a...
To say I'm happy with my 42" would be an understatement. It makes my old Samsung LCD look pathetic.
I was quite tempted by the new Samsung LCDs but in the end went for the current daddy of the plasma range.
Just had a quick look at what's hogging all the memory. Outlook is using a big chunk, as is firefox, having glass enabled is taking up loads as well as the Windows sidebar, plus Termincal Services Client is taking up a good chunk.
I went on to the Office update site and did it.
I've got 2007 but haven't got round to putting it on. I'm worried it's going to be resource hungry like Vista. 1.19gb of my 2gb is used by Vista, Outlook and a couple of Firefox windows!!
I'd say it's more the other way round, a Mondeo can be driven every day and has a decent enough chassis to make driving a pleasure, and with enough power for you to get an enjoyable drive. A Ferrari is nothing more than a posing machine which sits there doing nothing except for the odd occasion...
I fired mine up at the weekend for a bit of bowling with the misses on the new 42" Plasma. Just using it makes me warm inside. My 360 gets the most use though, and the PS3 is just there to fill a gap on the unit.
I downloaded the latest ones. In fact I did that for pretty much everything.
I was amazed that the sound card worked. Creative are pathetic for driver support at the best of times. I remember how long it took them to get some proper drivers for Live cards under 2000!
I'll take some this evening Steve if I get chance. Problem is my broadband isn't activated yet so I can't upload them. It's scheduled to go live today, but I'm not holding my breath. I've not even had it on the camera yet as I've been a bit busy. I moved house on Friday.
I'll need to get...
I know, it wasn't cheap, I've been promising myself one for a while. It was more than my 70-200mm F4 L lens. I figured now was a good time to treat myself ready for this years shows etc.
I've got a monopod for taking pics of moving stuff. http://www.jessops.com/Store/s663/0/Monopods/Manfrotto/679-Monopod-(Chrome)/details.aspx?&comp=n
I picked one of these up at the weekend for stills...

I've been running Ultimate Edition x64 for a while now with no serious problems. There's the odd quirk to work around but...
