lol.. i may be tempted by fcs afterall.. he he
just took my fuel rail protector off again and repolished it up as had a few little scratches in it.
happy with it again now
cant wait to get my colourcoded cover back :D
think i need to go buy some engine bolts n send them off to be chromed.
couldnt you buy a lamba sleeve??
http://www.gmcmotorsport.co.uk/price.html#manifold
ring GMC up and ask them about it.. theyre very knowledgable people..
im sure it 'mimmicks' having slightly dirty air or something?
bought 4-1 manifold and forged pistons from them before.
could try it.,.,
would need to make up a custom enclosed inlet though to go onto the bodies.
but it would still only be going through on entry point so would be a bit like going through a single TB anyway..
super charger and throttle bodies can be fitted (a 106 gti has got it, and pulsars have turbos and throttle bodies?).. but i think room would be the issue on the 182
i dont really like them carbon covers personally..
think it makes everything look to dull and dark. but thats just my 2p's worth :)
not sure how much im gonna like mine colourcoded either really..
think they look ok silver..
just hoping my mate is sending off soon to have more bits...
im sure it all comes down to the accounts manager....
like they cant build the 182 with decent build quality and still sell it so cheap.
but they can build it poor quality, sell it cheap, and have all the warranty claim money going out their other accounts..
mine sounds loudish when i park next to walls, when its cold, or if im at low revs.
dealer said its fine.. but theyre w*****s.
yeah i didnt expect VW like quality but what gets me..
if renault just built decent stuff in the first place.. they would save billions in warranty claims!
just be careful not to drop things..
these RS's have stupid under tray things to catch all your dropped bits and hide them instead of simply dropping them through to the floor... lol
listen to this man^^ theyre a waste of money UNLESS your car is being mapped for that fuel pressure..
if your car is mapped lean.. get it remapped, dont just up the fuel pressure as it wont make the mixture perfect throughout the rev range.
may be ok mid range but mega rich at the top end...
cheers ben..
the only thing thats really confusing me.. it was only black on the passenger side disc though, and it never pulled to one side when braking which i thought it would have.. the drivers side disc appeared to be ok on the surface.. the lip was a it broken up and knackered though but...
think maybe something had got into my ds2500's and contaminated them?
they squeeked anyway which pissed me off so im just staying with standard pads.
maybe if i had just changed the discs when i fitted the ds2500's none of this would have happened?? god knows.. anyway.. happy with the...
only really worthwhile on highly tuned cars that are going to be receiving a full live remap at that set fuel pressure.
theyre just an adjustable fuel pressure regulator.
on a standard map they will just make your car overfuel.
i had a 2wd sierra cossie fuel pressure regulator.
these...
parked behind a blue 172 cup in the nosey parker pub today, had some aftermarket alloys on
then on my way out at the traffic lights passed an FT04 regd arctic 182 with cup packs
anyone?
my tripod looks identical to that.. was about 14 quid off ebay..
you REALLY need one for night shots.. or some suitable placed 'bollards'
id also advise against using any sort of flash at night.. theyre simply s**t. instead set it to a nice long shutter speed of between 2-10 seconds...
im sure some of you have seen various posts about my brakes being very poor.
they were amazing when i got the car (14months old) then gradually got worse until i nearly overshot a junction.
so fitted some ds2500 pads and left the discs, was ok for a short while but then got very poor...
took my wheels off, engine and machine cleanered them up as best i could, inside rim etc
then engine and machine cleanered all under the arch
its actually BLUE under there!!
couldnt find any decent place to jack the rears up though so couldnt do them..
