Out of Maxogen, Inlets, Zorst, and grpN ECU the only two that made a discernible difference in tandem were the ECU and the Maxogen.
My 53 plate 172 had an RS inlet. I noticed very little from having the ported inlet manifold.
Imports WILL sell for less a lot of the time - Go and trade it in and see what they say. There is a difference. You most likely bought it for less, so you'll get less for it when you sell it. Not rocket science.
Who is this Renaultsport dealer in Lichfield?
He's saying you should learn how to drive. Albeit in a more polite, softly-softly approach. lol.
If you're bouncing off the limiter you should change gear sooner! If it stops at 6750 that means your engine is still cold. It should go up to 7250 in first and second gears when the oil is fully...
I love em too. What self respecting Renault fan doesn't?
Just don't see them as being invincible. I've driven round the outside of several mk1's (at very high speeds granted)....seems like all the fast ones went north and all the slows stayed in the midalnds!!
Re: Valvers - f**kin awesome!!!!! :D
I knew you'd turn up. And I knew you'd spout the same b****cks. Again you insular northeners continue to apply what you see in a handful of cars to every car ever produced.
And I haven't slagged anything off. Merely offered an alternative opinion...
lol @ slow with dangerous handling. I thought that was my 172. lol
Back on topic, the pictures of Dans vlaver have made me want one. It's undeniably f**king cool. lol.
Re: Valvers - f**kin awesome!!!!! :D
Not at the forefront these days? Is the F7 a new engine? :rasp:
1/4 mile isn't just about the engine - Although Has a Williams recorded a 14.1 with off the shelf chip decat and filter like Chris's Cup? No.
So because yours made 158bhp stock that...
Re: Valvers - f**kin awesome!!!!! :D
You said the F7R was 'better' than the F4R.... I fail to see how. And that's not what Nick Hill said when I asked him about it. Although 2Live probably knows better.
There does seem to be a concentration of fast mk1's in the NW but it would...
Couls till be the same cause. Whichever of the two welds was the weaker would go first. Apologies for the paint drawing - Was back in the days before I knew how to CAD. lol.
Hmmm. Wonder if anyone else has had the same....
Worth noting that I was always pleased with the way it sounded and only ever had positive commments from people, including 'non-petrol head' types.
As I've said - Lots of people are happy with them. ProSpeed are good at what they do. If you have a car they can make you an exhuast that will fit, by fair means or foul.
Just when I hear people say 'best in the business' snd 'unbeatable' I have to show the flip side of the coin. Nobody's...
