Spot on.
I had 205/45/16's on my 172 and didn't get on with them. I thought they lasted brilliantly myself, but there you go! As previously said, I found them shite in the wet and that they didn't perform well in the dry until fully warmed up.
As gaz, my fellow Maxogen/GroupN evangelist says, the remap will improve the low down grunt. I thought my 172 was broken when I went back to the standard ECU. lol.
Unless you intened to get other mods such as remap and decat I wouldn't bother with an induction kit. They provide very little in isolation, but are worthwhile if you are modding the engine breathing as a whole.
My girlfrind had a Mk2 1.2 16v before her Mk3 1.4 16v and the mk2 was waaaay more fun to drive and felt far nippier. Clio 1.2's are ace little motors for what they are! (a 1.15!)
You'll be lucky.... Most places charge a minimum of an hours labour charge.... probs £45 odd.
I'm going to tig my Pro-Speed back together and add in a few design changes to improve it. Only to sell it on mind. lol.

Yes but the extra 55kg might have something to do with that!
Worst thing about Ph1 for me when I test drove one was
1. Suspension seemed soft
2. Gearing is stupidly long
3. Dumb looking front end and lack of Xenons
Performance wise it felt nippier than my Ph2, but the Ph2 was a nicer...
Ooh a standard 182. In a lay-by. In the countryside. Would it be fair to say pictures like these and Cliosport are not mtually exclusive?
Its like f**king groundhog day on this forum!
Yes it is. It's a piece of piss.
The only hard part is having to get under the car - Which is made ten times easier when you have it up on ramps.
If only the 172 cat was so simple :-(
Au contraire. I had an RS inlet on my 2003 172 (first build after the Autumn shutdown) delivered in Nov 2003. b******s already new about the 182 but still sold me a 172. The s**t bags. lol.
