Maz, when will you learn. There more important things in life than brakes. Sure im glad your calipers are sorted, but im not happy with your willingness to simply write off my problem by pushing me aside.
Could someone please tell me why my im having this confectionary issue. The question is...
Its called a job in IT. It give's me plenty of time to work out why manufacturers don't take these triviel, but highly important issues into consideration.
Basically what im saying is, don't fall for their bull, anybody can post graphs from tweaked dyno's. Personally i'd be going for a Group N, or Rsport remap from someone like RS-Tuning at £275. Solid results posted by users who appreciate drivability.
I understand saying superchips are poo, is...
Neither are bad camera's in fact far from it, they're both fantastic. And if they were both the same price, the S80 would be a good improvement over the S70. Buts its little in the way of bang for buck right now over the S70.
Just don't know why they didn't include .RAW in the S80. RAW photo's...
That's ok Maz,
Now tell me why they don't standardise the size of mugs and biscuits to ensure i snug integration and harmony. I mean, brakes...schmakes. It's all about biscuits baby!
Ack, didn't see you had a 172...
Personally if the paper is soft enough to avoid chaffing, i would wipe my arse all over those print-outs.
Sounds right dodgy though that does, though having said that theres not that many good dyno's around.
Unreliable results mate, simple as.
What RR was that done at? Sounds like it either isn't calibrated correctly, or they're making results pleasing to people. 196bhp for a 182, is pretty impossible from just an IK, would expect the IK to lose it 2-3bhp and bring it down to 178bhp ish, as most...
Market leader? Maybe by volume sales, on pure virtue that they are a huge franchise in comparison to tuning companies. Market leader, because they are a franchise, because they advertise in every magazine weekly, because they churn out generic graphs quoting that the kid with his Nova SR can...
Superchips are generic maps, they make stupid ridiculous claims which aren't backed up by solid results. If companies make false claims, then that must mean their products are poo. Theres better products available.
Indeed, leave your car at the garage. Phone Matt and buy an engine, get it delivered to the garage and have them fit it. You should still be in pocket.
Eibach Prolines on Koni adjustables.
The sportlines would give another 10mm drop on top of those, and would still be a much better ride than the Apex would be. Upto you i guess, but Eibach are a market leader.
Like i said though, depends if you want ride/handling or looks/drop. You pays your...
I had some Avons, wasn't impressed with them tbh. Understeer is ALWAYS an issue on FWD cars, but your tires are going to have a large impact on that.
Personally i'd put your PE2's on the front if your understeer is worrying you.

Take your pick.
Having tried Eibach Prolines, Apex's, Pi and Koni adjustables - I'd say my opinion is also fairly well rounded. Yes it's my opinion, and my opinion is they are overly harsh, they don't have the same progressive characteristic as the Eibachs and the ride is nowhere near as good.
Apex for show...
Couldn't give a monkeys what its running, looking like that i'd be embarassed to drive it. I'd take a standard looking car anyday over that barry effort. But if yellow and black cars with sunstrips floats ya boat then fair do's ;)
^The ride is nothing like the OE springs provide. Apex is a much much firmer ride, and at times on bad surfaces is harsh.
People forget theres two kinds of Eibach's, Sportlines WILL drop you down 40mm. Prolines will take you down 25mm/30mm. Both Eibachs are far superior in every sense.
They're sh1te mate, they glaze over really badly. Had them on the 172 when i got it, and when i took them off the car they were glazed like hell - awful pads imo.
I hate modified cars, unless they're subtle and performance enhancing.
Everything else, i just point and laugh at. If you spend all that time, effort and money fitting useless chav shite then expect to be laughed at. Why should i not **** off someone's car if i don't like it? ;)
