yeah 55mm is as low as you can go without having problems but i would expect you to ned to uprate the shocks after 12 months as i found the standard one start to waep which is an mot faliure.
if you got the belt done and serviced it with 12 months mot........ put it up for 3650 but expect to have to drp to 3250ish if you want it gone reasonably quick.

you need williams engine, box, loom, ecu and mounts,
clio 16v subframe hubs, 16v wheels, suspension, brakes,16v manifold/system, 16v bonnet, 16v rad and fan, 16v fuel pump.
if you can do it yourself then i would say no more than £1000 for all the bits or get yourself a 16v donar...
2nd hand 172 alloys i would go for!!
you may be able to get some halfords ripspeed ones out the bargin bin for that but just depends on what you want your car to look like and if your gonna continue to mod it or not
i ran a wizards 50 shot wet kit off the throttle on my valver corsa and clio (used the same kit twice) and it ran fine with no probs, only used it at shows/quater mile!!
if yours is a ph2 you can only have it on a button due to no cable.
