Well neither is a type of backbox i like but i'd got for the Janspeed everytime.
Its a reputable brand and i'd imagine alot of people would back that up.
Bloody taxi's! Someone else i know on here got his car totalled by a taxi pulling out in front of him.
Sorry to hear of your loss mate. Its never a nice feeling.
Yeah pretty good. The only ones i've encountered are the ones built for Lotus as they made systems for the 340R and they recently made a Stage 2 for the Exige S.
From what i could tell they are well put together.
I've no real experience of Magnex but judging from the Janspeed's i've encountered they aren't exactly quiet.
Probably won't be AS loud as it would if you had a full system on though.
I think i'd have it in white and then get those speedlines powdercoated in white as well....then it would look something like a stickerless cup racer.
Racing blue with white wheels would look good but as you rightly say, thats Christophers trick.
Wow! Some of those pics you have taken are in exactly the same places i took pics when i was up there in January!
I parked in that exact same lay by near Loch ness and took nearly the same pic as you did!
Spoooky! I really would love to go back up there but its such a long way to drive....
Mine has to be doing a late night run with the Cup up in North Wales with a big crowd from the NW lot off here.
One of the best drives i've ever had.
I've also done a rally driving day which was a hoot as well.....i was quickest which i was chuffed with...must have been a fluke tho!
Driven...
Oh im sure everyone is sensible enough to know that its a been and done subject and has no wrong or right answer.
So yes...roll on 20 pages of arguing which is faster.
Phugly....like it!
Cup should be called the Ph-whatthehellwasthatleavingmefordead?!
But i don't think the sill is long enough to accomodate the sticker.
When i finally find something that matches or exceeds it.
You can keep your new turbo hatches....if the 197 Cup impresses me enough then that could be the car for me come next summer!
Ok now im paying attention....if its gonna be as light as it has the potential to be then this could finally be the step up from my Cup that i've been looking for.
TomTom.....fantastic walkthru there buddy! Very helpful.:approve: I'll be printing that off for reference!
Cheers for the help fella's. So i have to buy the whole arm?
Has anyone given it a go?
Had mine up on the ramp tonight and im considering changing the drivers side one to see if it stops this knocking i have.
Is it simply a case of undoing the two bolts on the underside of the lower wishbone and the one on the hub?
Took a different route home from the girlfriends place in Brighton tonight and decided to try the A283 as i've heard its a nice route.
Not long after joining it i had a familiar looking set of Xenons filling my rearview....a 197 with the plate 19 MAT (or i think thats what it looked like).
Game...
The tapping has come about after most of the oil vanished on the run to RWS.
I said rings as well. There is no sign of leakage so it must be burning it.
Good stuff! I have the same feeling after some hard miles in mine. I don't drive it at ten tenths often and thats when i get irritated by the niggly things.
Then i drive it hard for a longer peroid of time and it shows its true colours.
These cars are happiest driven hard.
Prolines and Sportlines will both drop your car although Sportlines will drop it quite a bit more.
The amount of drop is much more noticeable on anything other than a Sport model.
Both are handling orientated so you'll notice a big improvement in the handling but the ride will be...
