    HELP: Missfire on a 182 - PO203 & PO303

I know chorley pretty well yeah. You're a stones throw from the White Heart there ;). Do you live near chorley? I can plug it in my kit for you and it will tell you where the problem is. Not sure how much the injectors would be mate, but it would be a second hand one I could get hold of. I know...

Would that genuinely make them ok to use until getting correct mapping etc done when the bodies are attached? Or could I do as mentioned and put a small hole in the biro end thats plugging my acoustic pipe :) ps. How much you want for them ;)

    HELP: Missfire on a 182 - PO203 & PO303

    HELP: Missfire on a 182 - PO203 & PO303

sounds like either a blocked injector, or a general problem with the injector itself or wiring to it. Have you tired swapping over the injector from one of the working cylinders, to rule out wiring fault? It wouldn't be hard to get hold of a spare set. Easy to change too.

"Wow, My Willy Works" Dave.'s TDF'd ITB & Cammed 182

Re: Dave.'s Trumpeted Engine Spec, Cammed Up Gunit, 2118'd Carbon Vagina Boob obsessi 5bhp gains is pretty good for that. Plus the engine will run more freely, so all good :)

Yeah I thought 421s would cause issues on idle. I should just remove the acoustic pipe to raise the idle ;)

    Fitting a 182 exhaust

I dropped my rear beam as far as possible, but still needed to remove bumper too. I didn't cut mine though.

....drivable on standard management/map and won't cause damage. Bodies are going on in a few months, but with the rocker removed ATM, it makes sense to remove standard cams.I don't want to waste money on mapping considering I'll be getting it done again when ATs are fitted. What is the most...

cams, forged rods pistons etc and boddies? bhp? what we talking here :S

 who's that with? Greenlight wouldn't increase much, if any, for putting tb's on. That's a lot for insurance

It does look much smoother torque wise. I wonder how much difference the rotating mass of aircon/power steering pump make

Cast wrap? From watching the YouTube vids, any wrap, once heated, can be used on curves

That was my thought although the rocker does seem a little flimsy. I doubt they throw it in water afterwards though ;)

Nice mate. Just had a catch up on your thread. Engine looks lovely :approve: Have you got a dry sump fitted to that? Or did you keep the aircon? (presume that's what running off the aux belt?

Is that something that's been known to happen danny? Surely the amount of bolts which hold the rocker down would be sufficient to "mold" it back to straight?

could I just use the same selant that will used to replace the rocker?

FAO anyone who's powder coated engine bits

The rocker and cam covers are off at the moment, so i'm going to get them PC. Is there any precautions with the rocker cover? ie. The piece that attaches on top of the rocker (not sure of the name, but it's where the breather bit is at the back :o), with the red gasket on it, would this be ok to...

cams, forged rods pistons etc and boddies? bhp? what we talking here :S

the kit matt provides has a different manifold which is about 1K worth. A few other bits too, but it would be a great setup. It needs a rebuild every 6.5K iirc though, so it's not practical for a road car.

cams, forged rods pistons etc and boddies? bhp? what we talking here :S

you would be looking at a fare chunk of change to get it done though, around £5K i'd imagine, fitted/mapped. Unless you can do it all yourself that is. Would be a very reliable setup.

Re: Dave.'s Trumpeted Engine Spec, Cammed Up Gunit, 2118'd Carbon Vagina Boob obsessi Would be interesting to see a side by side graph if you have one Tony? I know it's a different car, and you've both had them mapped on different fuels, but it would still be interesting :D. For me, the...
