yes, I would insist they change the items that could cause this. engine - needs replacing now ayways... ecu fuel pump assembly in tank.. the ecu, they may well be able to program with a later release of sotware.. the sensors on the engine, MAP, Crank sensor etc, should be changed too...

GR, sorry , but yer m8 is WRONG... the most engine deposits occur in the first 10-20 hours of the engines life.. at apx 60 mph overall, that equals only 600-1200 miles. at a more realistic level of 35 mph, that = 350 - 700 miles... yes, the oil can stand it, yes, the filter is...

Anders, re my rise in oil pressure activation theory... it is * possible * , but unlikely, that the oil pressure at off idle is enough to overcome the phase shift actuator solenoid spring... if so, then the shifter would operate even if disconneted from the 12v supply.. I HOPE that is...
