:S there pressed in with 5 tons
how the hell did you do that? a local garage bent the arm on mine getting them out!
so we cut them .. which took forever.
the biggest problem that i find with axel stands is;
a. getting them in the correct points (which ties in with b.) i normally go from the front of the chasis rails for the front and the jacking point on the rear for the rears.
b. the car being equal front and rear (hight) and the car nose...
IMO
just leave it LOL
you will spend a few k on a good engine build, which on a 70k chasis just is not worth it.
i would be saving the cash or buying some good suspension, brakes etc
if you want more power than there are plenty of options too
on yours it at the back of the "renault sport" plenham, just right of the coil pack holder.
will be a plastic tube with a rubber hose crimped on it
they just push onto the inlet
just use two cable ties to nip it up nice and tight, take it for a spin.. if it feels better then for a permo...
its just because they use a pressure to help drive the servo, so you put force in with your foot, then the vacum from the inlet pressure is used too.
if the pipe is loose then they can start to idle a bit higher too, as the has a source of air after the TB
Re: My Ph1 172 track sl*g Progress Thread
looking good, liking the coloum idea,
will the original cowling (sp) still fit over? and fit in the dash?
i could do with this mod
you could fit a ABS ring off a other model onto the rear wheel and runner a pulse sensor kit, i got mine from the states (i have a avanti transmisson and there is no output ring for the speedo sensor)
lsd is about £680 for a Quaife (ATB)
gripper are soon to realse one as are avanti - better...
iirc there is no manual drive
the speed is taken at the trigger wheel off the ABS sensor
box's seem strong some people on meg sportr see 300hp and have no problem.
LSD is cheap too, as there is no solid shaft on the diff for the O/S DS
