i had an idea that mine would get alot cheaper when i turned 21, as when i rang places such as directline, tesco, etc at 20years old they said they wouldnt quote me untill im 21.
at the minute (20 years old, 2 years no claims, 3 points) im paying 1750 to insure the 182
got a quick quote a few months back for me being a year older and having 3 years no claims from tesco for £1200 quite happy at that.
anyway. just got a quote with directline - £989
so i reckon...
jesus.. seeing this wants me to get rid of my renaultsport even more
when i see a 182 looking like that..
i'll advertise my car in autotrader and move onto something else.
i can tell straight away theyre going to say '' its because you have performance pads''
so i think im going to have to fork out on some new discs and new pads before they will look at anything else..servo/caliper/etc
mate..
my 182 brakes were amazing when i bought the car. after about 4/5 months they began to get s**t and in some cases, dangerous.
anyway, spent 90 quid on soem ds2500 brake pads, not much better.
its now in at renault in the morning to get checked over.
never really seen any 182...
sorry i couldnt make it this time
went out to wacth my sisters boyfs band on sat night then spent sunday in bed caughing my head off.
need to organise it again soon.
i remember on SSC years ago a tuning company actually calculated, using all the flow/capacity/etc figures
that youd need a massive industrial motor to be ble to overcome the suction of the engine and produce like a bar of positive pressure (boost).
and then you wouldnt be able to...
hahahahahahahah hows your white stick??
did you even read his post..
he asked how he could make his car safer to drive in the wet - better brakes?
i simply stated that better brakes would cause the car to lock up easier and without ABS and experience id say they would make it considerably...
ive been on the road 3 years. my first car was a 1.1 for a year, then it went to a 1.6 engine, then 1.6 plus n2o, now ive got a 182 so over 3 years ive built up the performance and got used to them all.
i wouldnt complain at having resitrictions on engine performance (not sizes as some 1.3...
that ipod-pioneer box is awesome (obviously only if you have a pioneer hu that supports it)
fitted it in my brothers meggy cabriolet
can control everything from the HU, easy to install.
s**t really..
just got a quote on my car, will be a year older, have another years no claims
