it will more than likely be the fan itself - disconnect the wires going to it and then run a live feed direct to the fan itself. If it comes on it will either be a fuse / relay / faulty wiring. If it doesnt come on your fans had it.
as many of you are aware i cooked the turbo that day so the car wasnt on full power. The handling was bad as well due to the back end being jacked up for drag racing, so i couldnt chuck it into the bends.

Its got mk2 172 full running gear including the 2.0 16v engine & box - the car runs perfect with no problems at all

Still rubbish - there was a mk2 V6 255 at the pod last week getting 15.3 @ 97 mph and williams clios were getting 14.8,s ??

Either re-programme the key ( £40 ish from ruk ) are change the plip key battery. If neither of these work order a new plip - £75 + vat from renault and £40 to have it programmed. Give me your reg and i will get you your security code.
Things to check -
coil pack // throttle body // potentiometer // idle control valve // dizzy // plugs and leads.
Failing that take it to a renault specialist - like me
