on the radio there is a bar code - underneath that barcode is a long serial number. I need the last 4 digits of that serial number - it will end with a letter then 3 numbers following ie 65465 K456
get the ecu mapped to run nitrous and also a more powerful fuel pump - i ran a 50 shot with a digimax progressive controller, proffesionally installed and blew 2 engines.
The guy is a privateer on the race circuit and occasionally comes to see us when he needs certain items - next time hes down this way i will get you a number and find out exactly how hes achieved this bhp figure - ive seen pics of the engine and its a masterpiece. Hes spent £9k on it !!!!
I deal with a guy that runs a clio williams touring car that puts out 280bhp - ok its modded but a type-r unit would have to be, to put that sort of power out. I agree that the jap unit will probably be more reliable though - definately !!
tryed hillpower and BMC - waste of money
The only one to go for is the viper ram air - with the n/s spot removed and a cold air feed leeding all the way up to the canister pipe. If you want to tune your car correctly this is the way to go
The Clio 172 lump develops 170 bhp ish and with few minor mods can be taken up to the same bh as a type-r unit, so why spend £££££ doing a conversion ? In fact every race ive seen at the strip the 172 cup beats the type-r no problem.........waste of time imo
get yourself a 3 - 4 yr old corvette C5.....0 - 60 in 4.2 & 175mph for £20k. You will look like a road God and feel like a million dollars.
Dont anyone dare says these cant handle - they won the GT2 Le Man 24hr class for 2 years on the run - they are an outstanding car. Ive had one...
They are heavy, underpowered, overpriced, not very tuneable ( both 230 and 255 ) and have terrible handling compared to its competitors. Yes they look good and attract a lot of attention but as a drivers car they are terrible. I have had 2 and sold them both within 6 months - the clio cup is as...
and its not under the tank its in it - back seat up gives you access to a black circular grommet - lift this up and unscrew the big plastic ring - the fuel tank sender unit / pump is situated in here.
Like i say it can differ - check your fuel rail and look out for a black or bronze circular mechanism on the rail itself.

the fuel pressure regulator on most clio,s is on the bottom of the fuel tank sender unit / fuel pump situated in the tank. To find out which is the return undo the pipes on top of the unit and turn your ignition on & off quickly - which ever pipe shoots fuel out in the direction of the sender...
