Ahh right. Well I used to use a Netgear modem/router.... BT said that the reason I wasn't getting my full bandwidth was because of that. So I switched to the BT hub and quite frankly it's the biggest heap of shite I've ever had the misfortune to use. Truly shocking.
If these things are 200PS I think it's impressive that they've actually managed to make them so f**king slow. gearing a car to be slow through gears and have a piddly top end is no mean feat!! lol
Yes, but Matt is Nothern. Ergo he lives on pie and gravy, breeds whippets and racing pigeons and probably weighs in the region of 20st.
So he loses. ;)
Well I'm certainly not a good driver. lol. But I'm pretty sure I feel it tailing off. On the odd occasion I did utilise the extra revs, I certainly didn't feel there was any extra power to be had. In fact all it did was sound strained and f**king rough. lol
Whilst I can't add to the technical side of things, I can say that when I had my GroupN ECU I very rarely used the extra revs. I'm sure I could feel the power (torque?) taling off and would change round about 7k - That seemed to drop me just nicely in the meat of the next gear.
Only time I...
iirc Chris has decat, zorst, inlets, viper and ChipWizards remap.
Was a fast fucker anyway - i would be surprised if Chris' Cup wasn't above 170 standard.....

That would be perfect. I knew the Maxogen was the best product, but hard a hard time justifying if it was £100 better. Some 'middle ground' in terms of cost would be ideal for most people.
There's an interview in Evo with a renaultsport engineer who says they are very proud of this engine as it has broken the 100 PS/litre barrier. So suck me beautiful.
And PS = BHP DIN ;)
Basically Renault are liars and they will say anything that will get people to buy a car. A bit like the 'bespoke tyres' for the 182 Cup packs and the 'track day options' for the 172 Cup..... load of b****cks.
And most of the people on here are a marketers dream. lol.
Is it possible to get out of gear times ? Always puzzled me why it's called 'in gear'. lol.
In gear times, when comprehensive like most Evo tests, are very relevant as they give you a good idea of the characteristics of an engine. They usually list 40-60 in 2nd, 3rd and 4th....
