Copper grease should be put behind the new pads so theres no problem with that. It sounds like one of the disks is warped. You need to take the the wheel off of the promlematic side and have a look for yourself that would be the best place to start imo.
You need to cut a slot in it with a dremal or a hacksaw then use an impact driver to edge it out I had to do it on one of the engine cover bolts the other week.
Have just brought a second hand wheel that is in much better condition than mine I am aware that they are very delicate!! What is the best thing to use to clean\treat the wheel as it smells slightly musty and I want it to last as long as possible?
Thanks
A guy I shared halls with at uni had £3000 worth of subs and amps in the boot of his 206 1.4. They made it even slower then it was, made everything in his car rattle including the windows and wing mirrors when they were on about an 1/8th of full power and then someone drilled his boot lock and...
I just got an ITG filter an uprated the air feeds. Ive noticed better throttle response and allot more induction noise. I should imagine any power gains are minimal though.
I considering this also as it will allow you to reprogram the ecu if and when you add more mods to te engine. What i really want to know is how much this improve's over the stock engine map when all I have is an ITG filter and uprated feed pipes.
Here is a link anyhow if someone could answer...
My PH1 172 does it all the time. Its just the exhaust/ heat shield cooling down. My GF's copper s does it even if she drives round my house which is a mile from hers and gives hardly anytime for the car to warm up.
Re: Any point upgrading to performance slotted brake disks if standard ones are okay?
As said in your other thread Brembo Max or Brembo HC are more than up to the job.
Re: One standard, one well good. Put the well good brake system on front or back?!
Just get some Brembo MAX or Brembo HC disks for the front and some decent road pads. Drilled Disks are not very functional on a clio as the holes if drilled incorrectly make the disks brittle and they tend to...
The first time I changed my headlights bulbs it tooks about an hour of fiddling. Yesterday one of my headbulbs blew and I replaced both in under 5 minutes. If you know how the bulb comes out its easy I dont believe anyone would pay to have there bumper removed just so somebody can change a bulb!!
I got a set for christmas they produce a very clean crisp sound and provide a suprising amount of bass. This said there is no subsitute for having a sub in your car if you like deep rich bass.
I dont have one as I sold my last one as im happy enough with these speakers not to get another.
I get about 380-400 out of my 172. Mainly motorway miles though. You must be driving that 1.2 hard!!
I had a 1.4i peugoet which I used to get 500 miles a tank out of. It only had a 40litres tank as well.
the exhaust wont be done until it falls off. I was thinking getting some angelworks inlets as my next engine modification. Just wondered if the rstuner is worth getting before this.
I knew it had to be a joke straight away although I have met some people (if they can be called that) who think an induction kit and a dustbin exhaust on a 1.1 makes them quicker then most cars on the
road.
Thumbs up for this thread its made me laugh even if some have got irrate about it.
