ye i had 1.2 corsa and know what you mean. You could floor it not worrying about going over speed limit to quickly as took ages lol. And on country roads same you don't feel the need to let go of accelerator as much. with the 172 i'd kill myself if i floored it the same on country roads lol

on clio 172 what revs is redline? as its all one colour on dials lol. sorry for sounding stupid

When rolling the arches they need to re paint it as other wise the arches will rust as the seal will be removed when rolled

When bought mine i got told make sure cambelt changed at 72k or 5 years which ever comes first. AUX belt often needs replacing at 30k

How much would they charge to bring in the car for them to check these things? I'm new to dealers? I dont have warranty.

This morning went to start car but didnt start up first time! second time was fine. I also noticed for the first 2 mins it was idling just over 1000 revs when normally it under. But then it was fine. Is this bad? I'll see if it keeps doing it and if so i'll take it into garage.

welcome to CS. how many no claims you got? Because I'm 21 with 3 yrs no claims and insurance on 172 is 760 with alloys and full exhaust system declared.

Cool. I'm going to go to my body garage and ask them as they did arch work on my last car. They charged 25 quid per arch. doe sthis sound about right?

I got 17" wheels with the standard 172 suspension but when i have 2 people in back it rubs loads. What is involved with arch work on a 172? Is it just sanding the lip? Is it really bad for the car when it rubs?

Is it not where the mileage count is, it says Oil OK which means it fine and if it says just OIL then it needs sorting?
