Not that easy mate, the opinions you asked for are exactly that, and taking the RS engine to 200bhp without TB and cams is pretty much a non starter. 185 is very attainable though.
It stops the stereo working correctly :)
Nah basically its a valve thats designed to prevent water/flies/crap finding its way into your airbox and filter, i believe its found in the lower intake duct below the airbox. Removing it supposedly allows for better airflow/engine breathing - although...
Right i called the chap up (nice bloke!) and had a chat with him. Think im gonna part-ex my MK2 172 for it, said if i give him £500 on top we have a deal.
Going for a test drive tomorrow to see how it handles - even has oversized cup holders!!!!
You didn't...
FIrst of all i'd put money on it being loose wheel nuts, go round and check them as i had a similar issue a while back and realised they were in fact very loose on my passenger side front.
My second guess would be the caliper being worn excessively or somehow displaced.
a716 - any joy in fitting your clobber mate? I paid for mine today but it should arrive friday/saturday. I did express some concern over compatiblility issues when buying it, but the guy at halfrauds said he'd refund me if i wasn't happy no problem.
Cheers.
Hmm im not sure of the wiring of the sensor, and where it goes after leaving the passenger wing mirror, so can't help im afraid.
Wouldn't be a case of disconnecting the battery would it to 'reboot' the sensor perhaps?
Right been on the phone to Connects2 this morning and he clarified the following:
For Tuner list HU's (not sure on rest) it does display track information on the dashboard display, and it does also allow full control of tracks and volume from the stalk control.
I hope this helps.
Can't decide whether to invest in a new exhaust system on my MK2 172 or not, cause i'm not keen on the whole rude boy thing. But it would be nice to have something poking out the back of me car :)
Right so the Connects2 adaptor won't allow me to display the MP3 Tags on the dash display on my Tuner List mk2 172 HU?
And it also won't allow me to change tracks via the stalk/HU?
Hmmm...im sure it states that it does both of those points on the website.
Ok you see that silver strip under the screen? Well thats the glidetouch; basically its a so called intuitive control which allows you to manipulate the things that the buttons found on most other HU's allow you to do. More of a gimmick tbh.
Another example of a glidetouch would be an iPod i...
Right, ordered that Connect2 part. Should arrive in 2 days allegedly. Hopefully it provides full integration of the iPod in the manner that the IceLink does.
Ill keep ya posted on my progress.
It may only be a 182, but if your in the wet and pull off the traffic lights and floor it, i will personally guarantee you will spin like f00k, ESP or not. ESP is ok, and it is a useful driver aid - but its far from fool proof, it the road it wet and the surface is greasy it still won't prevent...
Aye if its wet chap just be careful of any 1st/2nd gear wet roundabout's or torque steer. But then again if its dry...you could press a little harder; having said that you'll need to run it in if its spanking new.
Enjoy the car, cause we all do :)
Oh My....Please Dont Use Capitals Every Word, It cAn cAuSe tHe uSerS EyEs tO BlEED :)
Lot of people praise Silkolene, but any fully syth oil will keep things running nicely, just make sure it stays at correct levels. My mate ran dry of oil the other week on the motorway. His sump got punctured...
So i'm presuming you have tried and tested every deriative of FM modulation?
The Dension Ice FM is pretty much as good as it gets as far as a non-hardwired method is concerned.
