The teardrop will make no difference to the sound.
The resonance happens on all 172's/182's I've been in, and is made more noticeable by an induction kit. I think it may be a trait of the engine/cams as my exhaust amplifies the resonance in a similar manner.
I have a pic of where the...
That's filled in by default mate ^^
And to the V6 owners - If you need a car to attract women and get yourself noticed, you are indeed a little bit sad.
And on the car itself - Love them. Would have one in a heartbeat. Slow or not.
Horses for courses I guess.
I didn't find there to be much between the ph1 and ph2. Ph2 was a bit firmer and I preferred the gear ratios in the ph2. Ultimately I made my decision on looks. Disliked the interior and exterior of the ph1. You pays your money you takes your choice.
I guess the...
Agree with pretty much all of that apart from the peaky engine/lack of traction statement. Apart from 1st gear, I've never really found traction a problem.
Never driven a Zetec S mind, but have heard nothing but good things about the chassis/handling.
How is a car with a simialr bhp/tonne ratio and 4wd drive going to piss on a Clio in a straight line? Maybe 100+ the extra power will make the difference....
Why is dyslexia so f**king hard to spell? And why is abbreviation such a long word?
Lets face it.... the English language is rubbish. Lng liv txt spk. lol. ;)
Back on topic - An experienced welder (it's all about the amps you see!!) will be able to weld your cat no problemo.
I wouldn't...
Not really anything in it below 100. It's quite feasible that a 130bhp VTS and a 166BHP Clio would have a similar power to weight ratio. Add to that the peppier gearing in the VTS and you can see how the two could be close......
BUT I have pasted a VTS quite convincingly.... guess you get...
As far as I'm concerned the JC5 gearbox is bearly capable of dealing with the torque from a standard F4R'd Clio. Mines started to get loose after just 24,000 miles. I have a feeling that some of the internals may be made from cast dairy milk.
As above. If there wasn't a number plate size recess they would look cool. As it is it looks like you couldn't afford a full size plate.:clown:
uber gash imho.
As above.
Although the main reason I didn't get one was it was never going to command a premium price above my 172, given the required initail outlay to get one....
The 172/182's are treated on the second hand car market as exactly what they are - Pretty much the same f**king car.
You'll need to replace the gaskets mate yes. They are compression type iirc.
I watxhed Nick do mine and it didn't look too difficult. Just lots of stuff to unbolt, disconnect etc.
I don't know of any mappers in the South.... Hillpower and YozzaSport are Midlands based.
