IMO a good decon wash and seal will make 75% happy, working with a filler heavy product and a good wax with all the other finishing touches will transform most cars, and a lot of people don't really notice the swirls, or they expect levels of correction that simply aren't achievable without a...
offering a detailing service to people is a bit ambitious, no offence. the experience needed to do that you'll have worn out your DA. I had people asking me to do it and I was turning them down, I would only clean and seal, never correct or enhance and do it for free or an invite to a summer...
how much are you planning on using it, I didn't see the point in paying extra for the pro version and the difference in cost paid for all my pads and compounds and got on just fine.
If you feel you need the extra power when polishing have a look at the EP800 rotary from CYC
citrus power is good for everything, bug removal, pre spray, APC (albeit not the strongest) I'd go for the 1l bottle though. On a sealed car I don't tend to use my snow foam as much now with this.
as with all wax questions, what do you want from a wax? I've not tried my carbon yet but titanium did darken / deepen the finish on my dark blue focus.
there has been quite a few of these threads since the weather has turned, have a look through the last few pages and you'll see more starter threads to give you a basic kit to get started.
AG HD wax, or even better for silver autofinesse tough coat slealant, best finish I've had on a silver car.
If you want easy to apply and are consider the Vics, forget concourse and go for the collectors yellow, leaves a much better finish on metallic and identical in use, application, beading...
I didn't find BTBM very slick at all, Gwash and lather are far superior products.
Pics and videos I've seen of obliterate it appears to be fairly quick working, but think tardis is maybe cheaper.
if you're struggling for a final purchase, double up on citrus power
werkstatt and tough coat appear to be similar products. I've only used tough coat but is a fantastic and easy sealant. I'd certainly recommend it as an alternative to the werkstatt kit.
If you ever consider using a wax, I'd use tripple. My Clio looked it's best with AF tripple and passion
look at AF revive as a cheap non permanent alternative to C4 for plastics. A tar remover like tardis is always good and ironX for removing iron filings from all the metal work I seem to remember reading.
Have a look at i4detailing or cleanyourcar as they do CS discount or rewards points system...
What red is it? I really like.....
citrus power, lather, rejuvenate, tripple, revive, crystal and tough coat but a lot of these are covered above. Lather is a lot better than BTBM IMO. For bits you haven't got I'd say CP, rejuvenate, tripple or crystal, wait until your other products start to...
do as much prep as possible before applying. and as it's going to last 18-24months you'll want it corrected to the best of your ability, so yeah wash, de contaminate, clay, polish, IPA then apply. You don't want to do too big an area before buffing. for example I did half the face of a wheel...
2mins research that a pre spray with said products encapsulate or lift dirt and are highly lubricated, meaning with a different technique it can be removed without inflicting damage
Do you know how much the fine will be for using your hose, not worth it!
and £7 for special shampoo and £9 for a...
On my silver Golf C1.5 didn't really add anything to the finish, I personally think tough coat looked better. but was easy to apply and remove. Will give it a 2nd coat to ensure even coverage though as it was quite difficult to see it when spread with a MF. I'd recommend applying to a MF...
Re: Solution's to the hose pipe ban? Ideas in here from and for anyone.
that was last time, the latest updates we've had (working at the Council) from Anglian Water is that they're trying to amend the legislation before the 5th so that it includes pressure washers.
Re: Solution's to the hose pipe ban? Ideas in here from and for anyone.
So simples that people just don't care,
the water's not gonna stop coming, we'll all be paying double and have hose pipe bans for the next couple of years untill water stocks are back up. what a winning decision!
Re: Solution's to the hose pipe ban? Ideas in here from and for anyone.
we're not in drought, but there is a limited water stock due to poor rain quantities for the past 18months. and with the same predicted for the foreseeable future they want to try and preserve levels as much as they can for...
It's funny how there hasn't been a big demand for it up until now, but now they're out of stock these threads are popping up every where.
I'm sure it'll be posted on DW as soon as new stock comes in considering the want for it all lately
I've lost count of the number of LSP's you've been through since the wet sanding.
What are they hoping the new products bring over the existing Z range?
