I've heard a lot of places powder coating then final colour / lacquer coat over the top. Best to speak to the place that are doing it. But regardless of how many miles, it's highly advised to give it a full prep.
You're missing the point, there is nothing wrong with it, I still own a pot, but it is not and should not be comparable to more expensive waxes that's all
look at it a different way, on a well prep'd surface a decent wax or sealant may and can add that little something that sets it apart. whereas a poor wax or sealant can also be the reverse and actually take away from the final finish. I've lost count of the amount of times I've heard someone say...
Re: Solution's to the hose pipe ban? Ideas in here from and for anyone.
it's generally the south east to start the hose pipe ban on 5th April.
I don't have the room or access to the rear rainwater downpipes as I'm mid terrace.
I'm looking into the routine for chemical guys hose free wash...
no more orders for me, I have 3 weeks before the hose pipe ban hits. And my ever so lovely sour faced wasp chewing neighbour would take great joy in dropping anyone in it. time to get both cars stripped and sealed before it's too late
what's there stuff like Kev? I've seen i4d now stock the full range but no nothing about it or read any real reviews
Wolfs rim shield seems to get compared to C5
I personally prefer i4d, there service is fantastic and considerably better than cyc in my experiences with them, but cyc stock more of the bits I'm after so catch 22.
for silver, keep with the tar removers (try tardis when you next order one) and claying but add an iron remover (ironX).
then try the werkstatt kit or Autofinesse rejuvenate and tough coat.
ipa - used for wiping down after polishing or for removing oils to ensure a clean surface.

Wheels - C5, wolfs rim sheild, maybe mint rims for non permanent
trim - C4, revive
if you aren't polishing then rejuvenate is a must really as it provides a great base for wax or sealants, plus there won't be a need to polish everytime you re apply.
ironX is so quick and simple to use there is little point in not using it, but even a well protected car will still have...
I do agree, and can see its benefits, but I can't imagine a car owned by most of us hobbyist detailers needed that kind of attention that's all. but then rejuvenate would not be my choice for a seriously deep cleanse, prime jumps to mind instantly.
It was my interpretation of James' routine...
no real need to use rejuvenate before using a polishing compound unless there is still a lot of dirt left on the paint after decontaminating and claying (which you have missed off your list?)
they did change gloss, newer version came in a clear bottle instead of black, but still don't think they got any real durability, it did leave a nice finish though as it wasn't too glossy regardless of the name.
tried Gwash and T1 today, GW was very nice, hard to call between this and lather...
depending on what wax or sealant you're using, I'd really like to see trippple on RB, I reckon that would look great
Russ is the man to speak to regarding new AF products, I believe he has tested most if not all. But going off their previous products I can't see it being a disappointment. Only...
use the make up pad, put on top of bottle, tip it upside down then back, wipe on planned area, carry out same procedure if pad becomes dry. do not leave more than a few minutes before VERY lightly wiping down with a new MF cloth. this may mean do small areas at a time and going back to it.
I've...
Last Stage Product I think, so yeah wax or sealant.
depends on what glaze you use, as some products cross the lines and blend into both. rejuvenate does have some filling ability, whereas some glazes do a reasonable job of cleaning so all depends on the individual product.
crystal, rejuvenate, tripple, lather, tough coat. all good products. Citrus power is good, just be careful not to over apply as you really don't need to much for it to work well, but the spray head chucks out loads
what kind of product do you need, would like?
look at all the sticky's Gally has put at the top of the section, explains the best wash method.
uber yellow drying towel from i4detailing.co.uk get rid of the leather. HD wax is best applied and removed 1 panel at a time and as thinly as possible. It's a very good wax IMO.
the shine is in...
either or, depends what you want to achieve. If I just want to give it a quick once over to apply a new LSP then hand. If you want to get the best of the cleaning and filling ability then DA. I've only done it once, but with rotary you will get a small level of correction also.
Leaves a nice...
I didn't mind the AG dressing TBH, isn't hot rims supposed to be quite an aggressive cleaner? in all honest I haven't used many of the megs products.
will use T1 this weekend and post up my thoughts
EZ detail wheel brush is by far my favourite
wheel cleaner I'd say bilberry or imperial.
I've not found a tyre dressing I'm happy with so far but just got GT t1 to try

I'd not thought about testing them together, may have to test all 4 soon. if you find your only way to Essex, you're more than welcome to try anything in my collection. What's on the Panzer now?
No sorry mate, was saying you could try my desire or spirit, or have the sample pots, I had 2 of...
shame your not local as I have small little sample pots of soul, passion and spirit I don't use any more, and full size pots of spirit and desire. they are very nice waxes, although can't compare to Zymol as I still haven't tried my samples. they spread very easily, beading and sheeting is very...
if your car is being corrected, then a pre wax cleaner may be more suitable than a glaze as little filling will be required. Wax is a personal choice and with a budget of £100 there's too many to list. narrow it down with what you want from a wax would help.
I'm guessing you have your wash and...
