I can get the wheels to lock up no problem on a perfectly dry day. I think that the standard pads squeal more than these do , I just dont notice it that much anymore.

try and buy end of the line models, so you know they probably havent been used as demonstrators all their life. get a 172 53/04 plate with all the features a 182 has, plus they are cheaper.

no work on the 172 is worthy. inlet work is the best value for money.

remove the coolant and power steering bottles, so you can get your hand behind the insulation. Shouldnt have a problem then.

I guess its gonna be similar to the 172, you can cut in half and get a sleeve from renault to put it back together again.

Renault originally thought it was auxiliary belt. So they changed alternator, tensioner and aux belt. But the whining has still been there. My warranty runs out soon, so gonna be booking it in for a load of jobs.

use the bonnet release grommet. or drill a new hole and fit another grommet.

okey dokey. :) What sort of prices for a simple, but accurate oil pressure guage. Its wanted so i can make sure oil pressure is up before ragging the car, as I dont like relying on the coolant temp on the dash.

Am i right in thinking that the sensors fit in a cylinder that goes in place of oil filter and oil filter attaches to that? Just wondering what i need and sort of prices expected to pay.

I wanted to like the 197 but was let down by the feel of the speed. Not sure of actual figures, it just felt slow. will have another test drive when they are older and more grown up.
