Mine - not really modded much on the outside. Cup Turnis, Cup Splitter, Cup Spoiler and silvervisions. Oh and a CTR aerial. lol.
Engine mods etc - ITG Maxogen Induction Kit, Pro-Speed Cat back exhaust, GrpN ECU and Hillpower Inlet Manifold.
Same as the later Dynamique models too - it came colour coded on them.
I wouldn't have paid for a new one if I couldn't have got it sprayed as a favour. Very expensive for what it is.
None taken mate. I'm inclined to agree actually - the wheels are a bit gash. But the missus thought they were 'pretty'. She said she didn't want the 16" wheels because she said "I'm not a boy racer like you are". Gutted. lol.
The window one is ace. Quick and easy. If you want to resize and keep quality, you can't beat photoshop. Which is also free if you know where to look ;)
I hope so.
And lets be honest, Renaultsport have never let us down yet. From the Valver/Williams to the 182/Trophy. Has there ever been an RS car that's not been at or near the top of it's class? Nope. I can't understand why people are writing it off before they've even driven it!!
Power to weight isn't the be all and end all!! I'll say it again - Gear ratios!! How does a mk2 172 that is heavier than a mk1 172 post the same 0-100 time as a Mk1 - Gear ratios!! How does a Citroen VTS stay near a 172? Gear ratios!! Forget the paper talk - Just wait until you've driven one...
Yes but your Cup is one of the quickest around Neil. I think that when they built your car the workers had turned up for work on a Wednesday morning, were bought breakfast by thier gaffer and were all given a payrise. And then they went and built your Cup.
My 172 on the other hand was built...
Me too. I kind of knew that my initial reaction to it would change - deffo a grower. I still don't think it's a particularily good looking car, but I don't find it as ugly as i did when i first saw it.
How do you stand with insurance with regard to interventions of nature? I though they didn't pay out for things like that?
Anyway, bit of a pisser is that. And where's all the Deers blood/snot/fur on your car?
lol @ 'Never seen any deer in Cannock!' Road across the Chase anyone?! lol!!
Cup spoilers will go for around £80 to £100 secon hand. If your lucky enough to find one. Like hens teeth.
New ones were £160 with a brake light from Mike@Rentech, but I don't think he does them any more. I bought new, but only because I have a mate who sprays things for me for nothing.
Will do fella.:approve:
That was one of the difference over the Expression - The 'style pack' is standard on Dynamiques - Front fogs, Sports Headlamps (look like Xenons but aren't) and cornering lights. Chromed door handles inside and out. And different interior colours apparently.
He did tell me but I've forgot. It's actually not as well specced as her last Clio. Sh's not got Auto lights/wipers this time. It has got 'reactive conrnering lights' though. hehe. She's got air con as an option, but I wanted her to get the 16" alloys and the spoiler. lol.
She fell in love with it. Had that black one in the pics not been there she may not have been so keen. But it was. And she loves a bit of black.
She wasn't bothered about a test drive, but I was. Have to say I was impressed. Its pretty much a better car to drive in every sense. Apart...
For the Missus - a 1.4 16v Dynamique in Pearl black.
I have to say that it looked a lot better in the metal. Also feels far better put together and the materials used inside are way ahead of the fisher-price plastic in my 172.
Nice to drive too, if a little 'frumpy' feeling. Nowhere near...
