well i just got a FC quote from AF thats for my car thats worth £5k. for £1560. wich is £100 cheaper than sky offered me for TPFT
might give sky a ring and see what sort of prices they have if i ammend a few details
lol i has a tubular manifold  bit of a homebrew tho lol
im not sure, the rails are in the garage now anyway so i will check tomorrow. might make a call to my mate with a 172 for a cheeky pinch of 1 or 2 injectors
i might see if i can get the clio fpr into the megane rail then.
lol i love your car, im a big fan of stupid crazy power in little cars, or in any car tbh! hopefully it will be worth every penny!
surely if i get the correct sized o-ring on the top i could get any injector to fit? or are they...
is the clio FPR a 3 bar one? because i could fit that in there.
where do i get bosch injectors from? i dont think ill need anything that big atm lol. 530cc should do me for 300?
cheers :) it is my money pit atm lol
bosch i bilieve. i think it has a vaccum port (cant think of anything else the pipe coming off it can be used for)
it deffinitley has a feed an return tho, you cant see it in the pictures as its upside down
no but i think it goes through the FPR.
goes in 1 end all the way through the injectors to the FPR then back on itself in another part of it towards the inlet but comes out 3/4 of the way there
ok ill see if i can get a pic of both of them now.
edit:
clio on the right, meg on the left...
and the mounts as you can see here...
clio on the bottom
the clio rail has the mounting points more towards the end of the rail where the F7R rail is closer to the middle.
i could probably mount it with some brackets but im unsure wether that would be advisable?
so the clio rail fits with regards to injector positions but it wont mount onto the standard head bolt mounts...
is it safe to assume i can make some brackets to fit the clio rail or am i being a bit fick there?
yes but i them also have a catD/catC on my hands...
so far ive had sky and brentacre quotes, not even been on a comparison site as i fear i would be completley wasting my time
i understand that but with the car worth about £1500 roughly then thats all i would get paid should i wreck it. now in the grand scheme of things thats pennys compared to what ive spent on it so its obviously not gonna be much of a help and then id have to buy the car back to sell bits off it to...
That's the thing I don't want, the insurance determining its a write off because I cracked a bumper.
If it was tpft I just get a new bumper spray it up and it's job done, if it was FC I'd get it written off have to get it vic checked etc and come the time I may sell it it's worth jack...
This is my confusion. I've always insured FC but thinking about how little my car is actually worth minus all the work Ive done to it I'm beginning to think I'm wasting my money (if it is more expensive for FC)
But according to the guy on the phone of I smash it then the insurance company own it if it's a write off I get hardly anything because the cars true value is not a lot and if u want the car back I have to buy it back. Whereas if it was tpft I can just take it home and fix it, or if I've done a...
Right I have a mk1 megane worth roughly £1500-£2000 if I'm lucky with a 2.0 16v turbo engine in it (previously 1.6 16v) so its obviously had a lot of money spent on it, and I've just been getting quotes to insure it.
Whilst talking to sky insurance the guy on the phone suggested I go for TPFT...
